Nice cruise, but she's due for the upcoming major overhaul

This was our second trip on the Victory. This sailing was to Key West and Cozumel, while the previous trip was a few years back from NY to Canada. On this most recent sailing, we noticed areas that were dirty, rusted or otherwise somewhat neglected since the previous sailing. We had the feeling that the crew are letting things slide a bit because they know the Victory is scheduled for a major ...

Terrible!

The ship was undergoing upgrades. Problem was no bothered to tell us prior to booking. We all know about the refund so it’s not like we would have been able to cancel the cruise anyway. I fell as if Carnival sailed a ship that wasn’t prepared at the expense of the customers. Sad thing is I invited 2 other couples to join us because we had such a good time with the same cruise line different ship ...

The wife and I chose this cruise for the destinations(Western Carib) and time (our anniversary). I must say that I will NEVER cruise with carnival again. From food than was one step above garbage to the constant hounding for money from the staff the cruise was enjoyable. It's been 17 years since I sailed with Carnival. I am amazed at just how far they have sunk in quality. Entertainment---- ...

A Good Cruise Despite the Surprises

My wife and I went on this cruise. This is our 17 cruise overall and with Carnival our 6th. Carnival at Port Canaveral is an excellent port. It is so easy to drive to. They are very efficient at boarding and disembarking. Incredibly fast, smooth and surprisingly quick. We parked at Port Canaveral Cruise Parking close to the Raddison Hotel. They are excellent, friendly and nothing short of ...

We purchased FTTF, But was unable to boarded until after 1 pm. We traveled with some family members who were on their very first cruise. This was our 4th cruise on Carnival. We didn't want to say anything negative in front of them. They loved it. They had nothing to compare it to. Nothing on the ship stands out. The food on Carnival is never good, but I already knew that. It shouldn't take over an ...

Great getaway cruise!

We live in Central Florida, Port Canaveral is the only port we've cruised out of in 8 cruises. Embarkation is such a pleasant experience, as is disembarkation.... We sailed on the Carnival Victory for the 1st time. Past cruises were 4 Carnival Sensation cruises, and prior 3 Royal Caribbean cruises. The ship was awesome! Larger than the Sensation, but not too big. We had originally booked ...

First things Frist, For all those whom have read negative reviews about the Victory being old, rundown, smelly, etc. forget about it. The ship is old (2000) but it is very beautiful and well maintained. The crew is very friendly and cater to all your wants. If you have the grand illusion of dinning at 5 star restaurants, then you will be disappointed. The MDR is well staffed and the food is very ...

We set sail on the Victory! We wanted to celebrate 2 special birthdays. What a great time and the staff helped make it extra special. Our 16 yr old totally enjoyed himself. He enjoyed himself at the teen center (said he was not going to go there) spent hours there and hung out with other kids. He also took in the late night movies. The cabin was redone and so much room for the 3 of us. ...

Carnival Victory needs a lot of work/updating

The food was terrible in the dining room. The last night there was nothing appealing on the buffet. We purchased the faster to the fun and was suppose to board at 11 am, finally got to board at 1:15 pm 15 minutes before the rest of the guests. This was a waste of money for this cruise. This cruise it seemed like they trained new employees to go to other ships. This was our first 3 day cruise ...

Getting on the ship was delayed but the staff made us fairly comfortable. I've been on 23 cruises and this time it only took us less than 30 minutes to disembark and get from our cabin to our car. We had been on this ship 3 years ago and we thought it looked better this time. My finicky 13yo daughter ate quite well. She liked the Dr. Seuss breakfast. She also enjoyed singing at Karaoke if ...
