Really nice cruise except for a few hiccups
"But for Carnival, they did a great job with this ship-if they keep at 60% capacity!Just calm warm waters and great fish...."Read More

Just came back from Mardi Gras cruise. Have only been on Carnival a few times prior but wanted to give this new ship a try. We usually cruise RC, Norwegian or Princess. Did not like the theater in the atrium…too loud, too busy and frankly was a bottleneck area. Cabin on aft was nice with comfy bed. Food was worst ever of any past cruises. I ate mashed potato’s in dining room for three ...

I have over a dozen cruises and I usually stay away from Carnival but this being a new ship with a lot of hype I thought I would give it a try .Cabin was nice with plenty of storage but the TV was in an awkward spot and the toilet when you had to go potie was cramped with toilet paper in the wrong position . Crew went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating . I had problems with the ...

Originally meant to sail on her inaugural sailings from Europe in Aug 2020, cancelled due to construction delays, followed by the pandemic the family was finally able to sail. Embarkation: The terminal is large enough to keep everyone moving. Many people still showed up before their designated times which cause the port staff to have to dedicate more people to directing people to appropriate ...

Chose this cruise for the family harbor suite and lounge. We had very high expectation for this trip and it wasn’t cheap. What we got was an unorganized overcrowded nightmare with lots of rude and grumpy guests including us. First off we got talked into a family harbor suite because of all the perks for the kids.. Lounge, babysitting, cookies nightly, free dinning in specialty restaurants and ...

Went on a 7 day and really didn't think it was worth the money. .The ship was nice but everything else was terrible.. Customer service is not there number 1 priority on this ship.. I have been on several ships and never received service like this.. I'm now considering switching cruise lines as I cruise once or twice a year.. the cabins are small and if you go to the palm restaurant be prepared to ...

Great ship, great staff, great food

We chose this cruise for the time slot, the price, the port and that it was a new ship. Embarkation was quick and easy, in spite of having to be checked for vaccination card and covid test. The line moved quick and it seemed to me Carnival had it down pretty well. The staff was great. Everyone was friendly, smiling and happy to see us. Our steward was on the ball, and anything we needed ...

A Wonderful Week on the Carnival Mardi Gras

Our family of three had a great week on the Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatan itinerary of the Carnival Mardi Gras. We had a balcony cabin which I highly recommend for the larger than ordinary balcony size (many on deck 10, at no additional cost) which can and did accommodate a lounger, which we asked be added for us. You can spot the larger than usual balconies if you study the deck plans; don't ...

Going to try and make this as informative and short as possible while trying to break it down into categories. Embarkation- This Terminal is huge and they have it pretty well planned out. The extra "COVID" checking moves right along and with an 11:00AM check-in time we were on-board by 12:10. Cabin ready by 1:30 and luggage was already at the door. In case your wondering, we are Gold level ...

It tool a very long time to finally get on the ship from September last year. With all the hype we could not help being excited to cruise again especially on the NEW Mardi Gras. Right at the start. We were really disappointed. We have been diamond for a very long time. Next cruise will be the 50th on Carnival. No Priority boarding unless you had a suite. 1-1/2 hours to get on the ship. I am not ...

Nice New Ship but glad it wasn't Full Capacity

This was my 24th cruise overall with 3/4 of them on Carnival ships. We were a group of 4 (55-73 yrs old) in side by side cabins with our balconies "connected" by a simple request from our Cabin Steward. Overall we enjoyed our cruise on the Mardi Gras... We asked around and were told it was sailing at 60% capacity during our time onboard. They could definitely improve the Embarkation by ...
