"Center Stage Band featuring Coco and Calvin were fantastic. The Backyard Band at Guy's Pig and Anchor were excellent (except when they got in the groove and some of the songs went on longer than Hey Jude)...."Read More

1-10 of 51 Port Canaveral (Orlando) to the Western Caribbean Carnival Mardi Gras Cruise Reviews
I will start with this is my 8th cruise and no stranger to the industry. I booked a suite for this cruise unlike all of my past were outside cabins. We arrived on the ship and were told our room was ready. Once on board the rooms were blocked off with a sign that stated no rooms would be ready until after 2pm. Ok, not the end of the world. At 3pm we went to our room to find out that we have an ...
After being on several Carnival ships, I had been dying to sail the Mardi Gras since it was under construction. It did not disappoint. Absolutley beautiful from top to bottom, but be very prepared for A LOT of people! Carnival did a fantastic job spreading the various venues out to distribute the people as evenly as possible, as there was truly something for everyone, but any way you slice it, ...
It began as a trip to spend time with the family, but ended up being an interpersonal experience.
I would like to make a few safety suggestions
1. The pools and hot tubs should have safety handrails
2. The bathroom doors do not offer the privacy needed for individuals using the facilities
3. And children as young as 3 years old are unsupervised in potentially dangerous locations on ...
My wife and I, who are near 70, travelled with another couple and their daughter on this cruise. We have been on approximately 14 cruises in our life and we have two more scheduled, one on HAL and the other on Celebrity. We have so far cruised on Carnival, RCL, NCL, and Princess. We have sailed on 4 cruises since the restart from the pandemic - 2 Carnival, 1 NCL and 1 RCL.
We have always ...
Due to delays in building and then of course Covid, after 5 rebookings we were able to get onboard the new Mardi Gras in Port Canaveral the day after the port opened due to Nicole. I don’t remember how much we paid for this cruise but it was not rock bottom due to initially paying for the maiden crossing. We had a spa balcony on deck 17; in what turned out to be a great decision. Let’s review ...
How amazing was it to get back to cruising!!!!!
As Gold VFIP members with Carnival, it had nearly been 7 years since our last cruise. Having a child and then the seemingly infinite pandemic shutdown, I work in healthcare — so it was comprehensively taxing, made cruising more than a little bit difficult. Living in the eastern Canadian Arctic, lockdowns, duty to the healthcare system and an ...
We chose this as a family cruise--grandparents, parents, and three teen girls. Our experience was greatly overshadowed by having all of our cash (a substantial amount all in 20 dollar bills so quite visual and evident) stolen from our locked safe. It happened between the first and third day of the cruise. When I opened the safe on the third day, our passports, vaccination cards, and car keys ...
We were very excited about this new ship. We have been on 10 cruises, 6 with Carnival and 4 on Royal Caribbean. We like the large "mega-ships" with RC, so we were excited to try the big, new Mardi Gras. The ship itself is probably nice, but there were so many people and so few staff, that a lot of the venues were only open at select times (I assume because of staffing issues) and then when a ...
First let me say that this review is basically about the cleanliness of eating areas. I just went on Celebrity in November and I’m comparing it to that which I thought was excellent. Celebrity had staff waiting with hand sanitizer in all eating locations. No guest were allowed to touch anything to keep things sterile. I will also say that in my November sailing they were at 50% capacity. I found ...
We went on Carnival Mardi Gras on our “30th Wedding Anniversary Cruise” in May of this year and to say that is was a complete disaster would be an understatement. I have been going on cruises since the late 70’s and have been on over 46 cruises. Some good and some not so good, and as far as we are concerned, this was the worst one we have ever been on and this will be our last cruise on Carnival ...
