"We usually do a room with a window but decided for about the same price we chose the Havana interior for the perks. We are going on the Mardi Gras again in October, this time we will be in a window room on deck 4...."Read More

Just came back from Mardi Gras cruise. Have only been on Carnival a few times prior but wanted to give this new ship a try. We usually cruise RC, Norwegian or Princess. Did not like the theater in the atrium…too loud, too busy and frankly was a bottleneck area. Cabin on aft was nice with comfy bed. Food was worst ever of any past cruises. I ate mashed potato’s in dining room for three ...

this review is on the Carnival Mardi Gras December 18th-26th sailing out of Port Canaveral. I writing to voice several complaints for the cruise I came from on Carnival Mardi Gras December 18th-26th. My first complaint is during the embarking phase, it was very unorganized, no one acted as if they knew the same thing. There was no social distancing even doing this process. When it was time for ...

Where to begin…our tiny balcony room was dirty- I found hair everywhere…I had them clean it again but they couldn’t seem to get it right….the food was cold, tasteless and covered in flies half the time ( I told them more than once but the flies were ever present throughout the cruise) with rare exception- each meal was absolutely awful and I had to send back the majority of what was ordered ...

I have over a dozen cruises and I usually stay away from Carnival but this being a new ship with a lot of hype I thought I would give it a try .Cabin was nice with plenty of storage but the TV was in an awkward spot and the toilet when you had to go potie was cramped with toilet paper in the wrong position . Crew went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating . I had problems with the ...

Originally meant to sail on her inaugural sailings from Europe in Aug 2020, cancelled due to construction delays, followed by the pandemic the family was finally able to sail. Embarkation: The terminal is large enough to keep everyone moving. Many people still showed up before their designated times which cause the port staff to have to dedicate more people to directing people to appropriate ...

Chose this cruise for the family harbor suite and lounge. We had very high expectation for this trip and it wasn’t cheap. What we got was an unorganized overcrowded nightmare with lots of rude and grumpy guests including us. First off we got talked into a family harbor suite because of all the perks for the kids.. Lounge, babysitting, cookies nightly, free dinning in specialty restaurants and ...

Went on a 7 day and really didn't think it was worth the money. .The ship was nice but everything else was terrible.. Customer service is not there number 1 priority on this ship.. I have been on several ships and never received service like this.. I'm now considering switching cruise lines as I cruise once or twice a year.. the cabins are small and if you go to the palm restaurant be prepared to ...

Great ship, great staff, great food

We chose this cruise for the time slot, the price, the port and that it was a new ship. Embarkation was quick and easy, in spite of having to be checked for vaccination card and covid test. The line moved quick and it seemed to me Carnival had it down pretty well. The staff was great. Everyone was friendly, smiling and happy to see us. Our steward was on the ball, and anything we needed ...

A Wonderful Week on the Carnival Mardi Gras

Our family of three had a great week on the Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatan itinerary of the Carnival Mardi Gras. We had a balcony cabin which I highly recommend for the larger than ordinary balcony size (many on deck 10, at no additional cost) which can and did accommodate a lounger, which we asked be added for us. You can spot the larger than usual balconies if you study the deck plans; don't ...

This review does not come from an avid cruiser, and it has been many years since my last cruise, so should be taken with that grain of salt, but I would say, in a word, the carnival Mardi Gras was " good". Not great, not bad. I do not necessarily think it was leagues above the other carnival ships we had sailed on in the past, and I suppose this was the expectation considering that it is they're ...
