1-10 of 51 Carnival Magic Cruise Reviews for Gourmet Food to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral (Orlando)
There is no particular reason why i chosen Magic but I am very happy I did. The boat was amazing, the crew was very friendly and the food was good. Our cruise director Rrrrrrico made our vacation extra special. I truley enjoyed the shows and even though I lost money gambling, the casinos was nice too. There was something to do at all hours of the day/ night. My favorite was the steak house, it was ...
Food was just so so. Never use anytime dinning, had to wait over an hour just to get a table. Then another hour to get you food. Portions were small especially the vegaetables which was very surprising. Salad was very blah.
Entertainment was the same people every night. Was to be a four port cruse, only went to three, but the gave us a $50 each credit. The entertainment in the bars was ...
We stayed in a Spa cabin (12009) and although the balcony was on the wrong side for the beach view at Grand Turk, the view at Amber Cove was amazing! From our door, The Fitness Center was only about 30 ft away and just inside was a cold water fountain (including a faucet for water bottles) with the best tasting water on the boat. The only noise issue with the cabin was one morning at 4:30 am, for ...
We chose this cruise because of dates, location, and itinerary. The Carnival Magic appeared very run down. Lots of rust and flaking paint. Our cabin with balcony was fine. Lido deck was fine.
The main issue is Carnival taking the "magic" out of the dining room experience at night. We have cruised over 25 years and have seen a steady decline in that experience. Tablecloths and multiple ...
We did a back-to-back on this ship for the itinerary, southern Caribbean. Number one this ship is definitely showing it's age. Rust all over the place, seating in the buffet needs replacing, and doors not shutting correctly or broken. We had a cove balcony which we normally love, but on this cruise, they decided to paint the lifeboat stanchions and we had paint chips raining down on us, and ...
Biggest complaint was the cabin as you can see from my review of the cabin. The Guys Burgers and the Blue Iguana Cantina saved the day. We went to the dining room and that was just horrible. I forgot that the servers are forced to dance to the "delight" of the crowd. While this is going on everything stops. If your food has not been served it will be ice cold by the time it gets to you. we were ...
Port Canaveral Embarkation. Problem with gangways led to delayed boarding with lots of people standing in the Port Canaveral rain waiting to be checked in because everything was backed up.
Thanks to delayed boarding, cabin access was immediate. Cabin was typical interior and quite serviceable. Steward introduced himself and asked what time we wanted our cabin cleaned and if we had any special ...
I don't think I would choose this size of ship for a solo cruise again but I had a good time.
The good was good, better than my last two cruises on Carnival. One of the specific items in the buffet (carving station) was always cold, other than that everything was proper temperature. MDR, Guy's burgers, pizza, Blue Iguana, all good. I had cuchina del capitano's free pasta bar for lunch one day ...
My husband and I decided to try out the Carnival Magic because we had never been on the dream class before. We wanted to see what it was like. We stayed in cabin 11236, which was a cloud 9 spa cabin with a balcony. It was by far more spacious than any interior cabin. It was lovely and quiet. The toiletries were supposed to be Elemis brand since it was a Cloud 9 cabin, but all we had was shampoo ...
We love cruising with Carnival, unfortunately, staffing shortages were quite evident. Food was still good in the dining room, and the smokehouse was delicious. The pizza is not what it was before. We often waited 20 minutes for a drink, even a simple beer. The dining room also seemed short-staffed, we often did not get water refilled, and one night we were there for 2 hours for dinner. The ...
