This was our 3rd cruise on the Carnival Glory, the 7th Carnival cruise. The Glory, although she is a bit older like all of us (!), is still wonderful!
Embarkation was great! We left the Radisson at the Port on the 11:30 shuttle, and were having lunch on the Lido at 12:15! The people handling embarkation were professional, yet friendly! There were questions about the H1N1 we had to answer, but ...
My husband and I are in our 60's and this our first Carnival Cruise. We have sailed once on Holland America and once on Royal Caribbean. I picked this cruise because of the value and itinerary.
We flew in to Orlando Friday, rented a car thru Avis and drove to Cocoa Beach to the Days Inn. The price was reasonable, the room was very clean and freshly painted with a convenient location. ...
I hope this review helps and answers many questions people have concerning sailing on the Glory and/or other Carnival ships and the ports we visited.
First off, at embarkation they hand you a form to fill out stating whether or not you have been exposed to H1N1, flu, or suffer from any flu like symptoms. We answered yes because our son had an allergy cough. Coughing was one of the listed ...
This is my husband and my fourth cruise and our two daughters (ages 12 & 10) third....all with Carnival. We decided to leave the evening before the cruise to avoid the hassle the day of. Our flight left Milwaukee around 5:15pm and with a layover in Atlanta, we arrived in Orlando at 11:00pm. We rented a car and drove less than 10 minutes to stay at the Quality Inn Airport Hotel. It was nice and ...
My wife and I are in our 20's and this was the 7th cruise for us on Carival and the Glory was the 4th Carnival boat we have been on. I want to start off by saying that we booked this cruise the day after we got off the boat in May 2009, prior to hunting season dates beign published. I was very much looking forward to this trip until I realized that I wa going to be missing 2 weekends of hunting ...
Had done Disney twice, RC and Norwegian once each and all were great. Just didn't want to do Carnival due to their adds and rumors of constant partying. But got a good rate and this fit all of our needs so decided to give it a try. Went in with zero expectations. Truthfully, I was expecting to be terribly disappointed. And it turned out to be just fine and I would do Carnival again! And believe me ...
We have traveled before on Carnival. This was our first trip to eastern Caribbean. Embarkation went smooth. The food and waiter in the Platinum Dining Room was very good. We ate there six nights. The buffet on the Lido deck left a lot to be desired. The breakfast buffet was not very good at all. The eggs were soupy and runny and you had to ask for the bacon. They would only give you a ...
My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on the Carnival Glory. This was our first time on Carnival; we have previously sailed on the Disney Magic (three times for the 3 day cruise), HAL Veendam, NCL Spirit (Alaska), NCL Pearl, NCL Sky (3 day), RCCL Mariner of the Seas, and the Caribbean Princess.
Our house is 65 miles from the port. We arrived at Port Canaveral just after noon, and ...
This was our first cruise ever and it was far more wonderful than I ever expected. Prior to our cruise I read many reviews that had many negative things to say about Glory and Carnival. Let me first say that I have no other cruise to compare this one with but if there were any better then more power to them. Embarkation- We arrived at Port Canaveral and unloaded our luggage and was assisted by ...
This was only our second cruise, having gone to the Western Caribbean before on a Royal Caribbean cruise in 2001 on the Nordic Empress. We found the Carnival Glory cruise to be very good and slightly better than our experience with Royal Caribbean. We are Midwestern, professional, no kids, and in our late 30s. I eat a pescatarian diet, meaning I eat no meat, eggs, or dairy, but I'll eat ...
