My family was giving a cruise as a graduation gift. It was her first cruise and it was so great! The ship was so impressive; especially the laser light show and the line dance that when from top to bottom of the ship at the party, and the Serenity deck made for the perfect relaxing place to hide. The ports were so beautiful and the weather couldn't have been any better. The staff went above board ...
The cruise was great enjoyed it but there were a few problems.
1. Port Canaveral departing : It took forever the employees were doing everything they could but I dont think Carnival was set up at the dock for that many people..I can not walk or stand for long periods and had to get a wheel chair.. We arrived at the correct time and still had to wait over an hour and a half.
2. Loved the Cove ...
My husband & I have cruised previously but have not been on Carnival since a Med cruise on the Magic- 10/13. I was a little apprehensive prior to the cruise. There has been a lot posted on Cruise Critic regarding recent changes on Carnival ships.
EMBARKATION: We purchased Faster to the Fun & for us, it was a good value. Embarkation was slightly delayed on this cruise. I was told that it was due ...
We were on the Dream for 9 nights starting 4/5/14. We boarded the ship at Port Canaveral and then ended at New Orleans. My only complaint would actually have to do with the boarding but overall it went smoothly after they finally let us in. We went to Aruba, Jamaica, Caymans, & Cozumel. This was my 12th cruise on Carnival and I tell you that we had a really good time. We were joined by my daughter ...
This was a repositioning cruise for the Dream as it moved from its former home port of Port Canaveral to New Orleans. The itinerary was: Embark Pt Canaveral, 2 sea days, Aruba, one Sea Day, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, a Sea Day and Disembark in New Orleans. Our first time on the Dream which came highly recommended by friends.
So did we live the Dream or did the Dream turn into a nightmare? ...
We had a WONDERFUL cruise on the Dream! Embarkation was fairly typical, got to the port around 11:30am, was on board eating lunch at 12:45pm. The staff on board were all amazing! Maybe it was because we were on for 9 days, but we felt we got more personal service from all of the bartenders, wait staff, and cabin stewards.
We stayed in room 2376, Cove Balcony. It was a great room. About 30 feet ...
First off we had a great cruise. I would highly recommend this ship and this itinerary.
So myself (male 48 years young) and my 3 kids (17 M, 15 F and 13 F) stayed in an interior cabin on deck 8, Verandah, with 2 uppers and 2 lower bunks. This was also my 1st cruise. We camp and stay in a trailer so we we're accustom to dealing with a small room but we were pleased with the cabin size. We all ...
We enjoyed this cruise more than any others in the Caribbean. The Carnival Dream was appropriately named; it is a Dream with beautiful decor and amenities, fantastic staff, and a great itinerary. We started our cruise with dinner in the Steakhouse on the first evening - great food and service and a warm, friendly staff. The entertainment on the Dream was the best we have experienced in several ...
Embarkation - We arrived at the port around 12:30, and we were on the ship in 30 minutes. Embarkation was very smooth and quick. Uneventful and quick.
Ports
- Nassau - Our least favorite port. We spent the day on Carnival's Bemoral Island Beach break with lunch. We spent the day on an island in the Bahamas. How bad could it be. Wasn't too impressed. Not much to do except to sit on the beach (not ...
Embarkation was fairly simple. They had 2 ladies checking in a room full of Diamond, Platinum, and Suite Guests and finally someone from another area came to get us and check us in. My biggest complaint was the ship could not handle everyone eating lunch and embarking was an absolute nightmare. Took us 20 minutes to find a seat! Pool hogs get their chairs at 7am and only once did I see Carnival ...
