Booked this Christmas Cruise in October 21 as we had done the same trip in December 18, with the odd different port. Was looking forward to visiting Esperance but that was later removed from the schedule, which gave us an over night in Adelaide. Obviously, since we last sailed on Azamara Journey Royal Caribbean had sold the fleet off to private investors ad Oh boy, didn't it show. The standards ...
Let me start by saying that the crew and the food were excellent but it was sold on a spend New Year eve on Sydney harbour. Yes we were on the harbour but behind the Sydney harbour bridge moored up at white bay with another cruise ship in front. You only got to see the fireworks with a obstructed view a lot of people were very disappointed and the captain new it because when there was a Q&A with ...
We last took this cruise, same company, (nearly) same itinerary, five years ago - and it was, as promised, amazing. Last month we took the same cruise - and what a disappointment. I know the company is under new ownership but one supposes the new owners thought there was value in what they'd bought - so why did they dumb it down? Presumably to extract a bit more profit. Azamara, regrettably, no ...
We wanted to celebrate our 30th in style so we chose Cunard.
They did not disappoint. Great service , sparkly rooms ,lots of activities, fabulous food and free laundry.
We loved our Balcony Room and we enjoyed the televised lectures and entertainment. Staff were great to chat to not robots. Spa was great . Internet - new Starlink was well worth the basic price. FB , emails and some videos ...
I love cruising and I would never again sail with Cunard if possible.
The cruise had average entertainment on offer, that I was able to attend.
Appalling internet service. Service from the Pursers Office was non-existent.
No feedback to the passengers. Covid was onboard when the ship berthed in Fremantle, but no one was informed.
My elderly father (fully vaccinated) contracted Covid ...
Most reviews focus on luxury and the ship’s amenities, but when on an expedition cruise, especially in remote areas, the safety of guests is often overlooked.
During a fishing excursion a fellow guest experienced a subtle but potentially very serious medical event. Nick who was the guide was very observant to notice and assess the situation. He immediately radioed the ship and commenced a ...
Liked the itinerary and wanted to try Cunard.
From the start it was annoying. Could never get on the cruise Personaliser . Kept complaining to our agent and Cunard direct but took weeks before they fixed the problem.
By that time it was only a couple of weeks before our cruise. No cabin number was assigned until a week before. They couldn’t send us an itinerary as they said it was less than ...
We went Queens Grill on a short cruise in December 2019. It cost a lot of obey but it was a special occasion so we booked it.
It was awful from beginning to end. The butler didn’t even exist. We never saw him once. So although Cunard advertise this wonderful person who will pamper you good luck with that you have more chance of meeting Santa. He was meant to great us and show us to our room ...
My wife and I traveled on True North which was our first time on it. It was fabulous.
I felt the best attribute of the ship was the staff - their genuine warmth, engagement, fun and hospitality. It is impossible to force these traits and for them to shine as genuine characteristics is to their credit.
The coast is rugged, remote and spectacular. I can see why our Dutch friends in the ...
Cunard oozes tradition at every turn; and the 'best of British' but is it suitable for families and kids ?
Well we just arrived in Melbourne after a 6 night cruise from Fremantle with a 7 year old boy for my mother's 80th birthday present. We probably would not normally have chosen Cunard with a child but my mother had a lifetime dream which we wanted to fulfill of traveling aboard the QEII so ...
