We have been wanting to do this cruise for sseveral years and finally did it. We were able to catch the begining of the Christmas Markets in Vienna and Budapest and they were wonderful. We are happy we did not go on the specific Christmas Market cruise since we found the same vendors and items for sale at the several we visited.

I'd been intrigued by Viking river cruises for years but thought they were a bit pricey. The deals this year have been amazing, though, so I booked two river cruises. Viking provides a wonderful experience while traveling to Europe. I would never pay full price for the trip, so look for specials. (It can be a bit expensive.) The river longships are fun to ride on, and there is no "seasickness" effect as you might experience on an ocean ship. We chose the cruise on the advice of our travel agent and it was a great offer at the time but our cruise was cancelled due to COVID and the offer didn't remain the same it was more expensive even after the 25% discount the gave us.
