This was our third Viking River Cruise. We went on this cruise as we wished to visit Paris and the Normandy Beaches. When we booked this cruise over a year before we sailed we believed the ship would be moored close to the centre of Paris. After spending a week on the Viking Spirit, an older ship, boarding the Hermod took your breath away. The public rooms and dining room were beautiful. The cabin was pretty as well but the size left a lot to be desired. This was our 4 trip with Viking--all except this one have been absolutely terrific!! We were on the Spirit and then moved to the Hermod. First thing we noticed was how bright and upscale the reception area was, very impressive. Next thing was how tight our room was compared to the Spirit. This was a well organized, relaxing, and enjoyable cruise. It was my second cruise on the Viking The on the Viking River Cruise line. They never disappoint. The communications prior to the trip were detailed and beautifully presented.
