Great Cruise!

Let me begin by saying I chose this cruise for two reasons. One, it had a great itinerary to Normandy. Second, Vantage offers single fares without paying double the cruise price. I took advantage of a 3 day pre-cruise extension to St. Malo, France on the English Channel. The old walled city of St. Malo is surrounded by a lively beach resort with many restaurants, hotels, and a casino. We ...

The trip was great. The crew was great. Could not say enough about the food. Very well prepared and service was great. The tour that came with the cruise where set up well, and took you to interesting places. The extra tours where also well done. The tour guides did know a lot about what they where taking you and answered all the questions that they where asked, if they didn't know off the top of ...

We chose this cruise specifically because it was advertised at Jukebox Saturday Night with Ken Sparks. The disappointing part of the trip was that we did not get to spend time with him as he was not well and stayed within a small group for the first week, then he had a heart attack and consequently died. The cruise itself was magnificent, the food, great, the entertainment that was provided by ...

This was the year of the great French roast, Paris at 35ºC and similar to that all the cruise long. The payback was clear blue skies, no rain and great photos. The ship was 100% full, hence the service levels in the public areas were stretched. This cruise is a mixture of great French wines and cheeses (approx 450 different cheeses to be tasted), as far as scenery goes the highlights are the ...

The name of this cruise is "Spectacular South of France". This cruise spends most evenings in ports large and small. The first night is is in Paris, which is not on the river cruised; Saone and Rhone rivers. We gathered for a nights stay at the Scenic's host hotel in Paris. Nice 4 star hotel. The next morning our bags were collected from the hallway at the designated time and we were bussed to the ...

The Avalon Poetry 2 is a very pretty smaller ship. The staterooms are very nice and the bathroom is the nicest of any cruise vessel I have been on. Everything is immaculately clean. The angling of the bed to look out the window is wonderful. The window opening to make the stateroom into a balcony is also very nice. The downside, is not being able to keep window or curtains open while docked ...

We just returned from a cruise from Paris to Normandy on the AMA Legro and we have to say it was absolutely phenomenal! The Best! The staff on board just couldn't do enough for us and we have never seen such outstanding attention to detail. The cruise director, Sebastian, was out of this world, and just the best. Martin, the hotel manager was always there for us, the attendants were always ...

What a spectacular trip that has given us so many great memories. Having arrived two days early we stayed at the Holiday Inn, Notre Dame. An accommodating staff, who prepared us for the events to come. Our embarkation, was easy- peasy and our stateroom on the AMALEGRO was more than just great, with plenty of room, storage and even an in room computer. The ship is spacious, extremely ...

Our Seine River cruise with Vantage had everything we were looking for. Our stateroom and meals were comfortable, clean and inviting and the meals were varied and met all our needs. My wife is a diabetic and facilities were available for refrigeration for her meds and the menu, with Healthy Options met her needs in selecting foods that her diet demanded. But we were there for the chance to see ...

FLEURY-SUR-OUCHE, France – The morning mist rises slowly from the canal as L’Impressionniste glides almost silently through the water. A grey heron watching for its breakfast fish takes off from the edge of the canal as the hotel barge approaches. Depending on your temperament (and how late you were up the night before), you might be still asleep, or looking out your cabin window, or sitting on ...
