My wife andI have made many ocean and river cruises. Our latest trip on the Avalon Tapestry II has been the best ever. The route is Paris to Normandy with many charming and informative stops. The guides provided by Avalon were without exception top flight. The only negative was the 5 hour round trip on a bus to get to Omaha Beach. Listening devices were provided fo all guided tours and they worked marvelously l. The personnel on this ship are extraordinarily thoughtful. The food is as good as Oceania and special effort is made to cater to special diets. All the public spaces are well maintained and put the passenger at ease. Our room was well designed with plenty of closet and shelf space. The bathroom was smallish but well designed, with a great deal of space to lay out personal items. Because we booked late we had a room with just a high, not full, window. But there were plenty of comfortable chairs on the upper deck, and the windows in the interior public areas provided a full view of the passing shore line. The cruise director provided a lot of good information without the false heartiness so many of that breed are prone to. The dress code was very relaxed without a sports jacket in sight. Read Less

My wife had never been to France even though we’ve travelled on six continents. So we planned this week on the Rhône to be followed by a week on the Seine, and then a week in an apartment in Paris. We arrived in Avignon a day early and stayed near the dock. In the morning I walked to 5he ship and was pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. The Viking employee that helped us with our luggage was one of our waiters from the Grang European Viking cruise we had taken two years before. Surprisingly, he remembered us! As usual, the tours were well organized and interesting. We didn’t do any of the optional tours but since our ship was well located, we were able to entertain ourselves in the towns we visited. The ship was well maintained. No nicks or scuffs or other signs of wear. The food was outstanding. I also thought the evening entertainment was good, but the tv coverage wasn’t up to the standard of our previous trips with Viking. If you’re interested in France, I’d recommend this trip with Viking. Read Less

I will openly admit that I was sceptical about why anyone, myself included, would want to take a 10-day Scenic cruise up the Seine River from Paris to the coast, when you can drive it in 2 hours! I thought it would be boring with too much time doing nothing… How wrong I was… Scenic Cruises have once again exceeded my expectations, as has the countryside and places we visited throughout Normandy on this very leisurely ‘must do’ river cruise. Full credit to Scenic for making this a 10-day cruise and not a 7 day, as most other river cruise operators do. Those extra few days turn a short getaway into a genuine relaxing holiday, one that will be remembered for many years to come. The itinerary is very well thought out with a mix of culture, cruising, experiences and diversity that I wouldn’t have thought possible in just the one ‘department’ (state, county) of France. Normandy has so much to see and do. From quaint inland villages to coastal seaside towns. Rolling hills to tidal flats and chalk cliffs. There is something for everyone on this cruise. As always Scenic do it in style. That’s why they are the leaders in River Cruising, all others simply copy. It’s the staff that make your holiday a truly great experience, with attentive care, attention to detail and a smile whatever the time, day or night (do they ever sleep I wonder?). I came on with an old pair of shoes and left with what looked like a new pair – a tribute to the butler service. Some travellers are initially put off by the price but believe me it works out better value than many of the competitors when you take into account all the inclusions. You could give the moths in your wallet a well-earned holiday as everything is included, from meals, drinks, tips, to choices of excursions you could easily go the full ten days without opening your wallet nor spend a single Euro. I was particularly impressed with Scenic’s attention to detail. Their ship ‘The Scenic Gem’ is purpose built for this river, made slightly shorter, with less cabins solely so it can dock in Honfleur instead of Le Havre as many of the other companies are forced to do being as their vessels are too long. Honfleur was a highlight of the cruise and being able to moor up in the quaint historic coastal town centre was a plus. (Le Havre is a major industrial port, no comparison!). The evening concert at the Chateau was also a great experience not to be missed, so unique, something not possible anywhere else in the world. This was my forth Scenic River Cruise and it did not disappoint. I came away feeling totally relaxed and satisfied that I had tasted all Normandy had to offer – and done it in style. Note: If you are under 60 years you will enjoy the cruise but do not expect to meet too many new friends of your age group. It primarily attracts an older crowd, perhaps due to the excellent excursions to WW1 & WW2 battle fields (Somme & Normandy Landing) which catered to not only Australians, but Canadian and American history buffs. But don’t despair, as with all Scenic Cruises there is always a choice of day tours so if these did not rock your boat then you could go explore the spectacular Chalk cliff coast line and its delightful seaside towns, or perhaps a Castle or a culinary experience. The onboard meals are of the highest standard, all made from local produce complimented by a range of fine French wines. The fresh seafood from Honfleur was up there in the ‘yum’ stakes, as were the scrumptious desserts. This raises the question: ‘Has any Scenic passenger ever got off the ship lighter than when they boarded?’ I seriously doubt it. If you did you were a temptation diehard freak with the world’s greatest will power to resist the local French delicacies and pastries on offer every day. This cruise comes highly recommended and would be an ideal add on to any European tour, a great way to end any visit to the continent. Don’t forget to book a couple of extra nights at the beginning or end of your cruise so you can do Paris justice, there is so much to experience in this captivating city. Where to go next on Scenic? We enjoyed the pre-tour of Paris. It gave us time to relax and adjust to the time change before we sailed. The tour director was great, always available to help with our questions. We liked the choices of tours included with the cruise. The food was very good, with very helpful waiters for custom requests. This was our third cruise followed by our fourth on Viking after we took the bullet train to southern France for another cruise. We appreciate the fact that almost everything was included in the price. The evening entertainment was good when there was something available but we would have would have enjoyed more local entertainment brought in and more talks on the local food and culture. Always having beverages available was a nice convenience - especially including cookies or muffins or some type of snacks we could just go and pick up. We are looking forward to one of your ocean cruises. Read Less

My travel agent recommended Avalon over the other companies. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary. The entire cruise experience was great. The food, accommodations, crew, tours, entertainment and services was outstanding. The Seine River cruise was exciting, some of the views were great. Side Excursions with guides was very informative about the history of the site and the overall historical events during the time period. The ship built in 2015 was clean and nice. The room was adequate and furnished nicely. Food choices were unbelievable and tasted great, wine with lunch and dinner topped it off. Services were great, staff aimed to please. Had fun talking to them. Loved the entertainment, music tailored to our age group, none of that modern noise. Shore Excursions to various towns again was coordinated with comfortable busses. The only regret is the time spent on the top deck to watch the scenery go by. Read Less

The itinerary was beyond our expectations. We loved the tours we took, especially Giverny. The tour guides at each stop were so very informative. The dining service was exceptional. Maitre'd George and the kitchen staff did a wonderful job with avoidance of my food allergens. A special service at the American Cemetary in Normandy honoring fallen Americans was wonderful. The tour of the Normandy beaches was awe-inspiring. Paris is everything we were led to believe. Versailles, the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Eifel Tower were exceptional. We did the Eifel Tower tour at night, which was a lot of fun. Vernon was unique. At Rouen seeing their Notre Dame Cathedral light show on the front of the cathedral was amazing. The church and square where St. Joan of Arc was burnt was awesome as well. The whole cruise was well worth the price and a totally wonderful experience for both my wife and me. Read Less

We just luv river cruising now 7th in a row.( see other reviews) and we are also scenic tragics..having said that I do hold them accountable for a superior offering. The scenic Gem and the crew we had was a superior offering ,food excellent ( though im a difficult person to please ..in a plain way) .Off boat excursions varied as we are used to with on & off board entertainment in line with what scenic does. Now: 1. Crew - just a group of can do people from Bagadan our dining room waiter to karlo bar person & Palen our bulter .They couldnt do enough , attended to my many and varied requests coped with my wierd food combos ( toasted ham & cheese with a choco milk shake..on a scenic fine food boat). We had great interaction and even when i wanted to served myself they cut me off .."at the pass" 2.Food- from made to oder breakfasts ..to my specifications to my special H & C lunch of other items from the cafe to fantastic dinners..again mix & matched to my specifications the food offering is always great.Just didnt indulge as much as I have in the past.Came home only 1kg heavier. They also have special regional lunches incorporating local specials each day. 3.Off boat excursions-a real varity which options each day ( though usually similar themes).I came specifically for the Anzac battle fields Villers Bretonneux & the Normandy beaches.VB comprises leg 3 of my Anzac pilgrimage ( Gallipoli & Kokoda PNG being first two)Unfortunately it rained but we did homage to those who went before.Scenic even have a guest poem that is read every cruise . This plus Chateaus , Monets garden a bike ride all completed the offering 4.On/off board entertainment- river ships struggle here and other than a poor WW1 lecture oldie rocker band (on/b) light quizz off/b clasical quartte round out this part which was quite good overall 5.Gym & wellness- the gym is ok for me small 3 machines does the job. What was interesting & different this cruise had a wellness/excercise coach ( doubling up i believe) which we had never experienced before. While only 5 /84 of us took advantage it is an area that scenic should develop . This is not a family crusie ..couples really only just a great 11 days of " wonder" Next......Scenic Eclipse april 2019..stay tuned. Read Less

Our family, of four, wanted to take a special trip to celebrate our high school senior's graduation. She chose France. As a senior citizen I wanted a relaxing tour, yet one which included the famous monuments, museums, and palaces. We found the perfect combination in the Paris-Normandy Viking River Cruise. We took the extended cruise and spent three days in Paris, visiting the special attractions in The City of Light. By chance we were there on Bastille Day and the day France won the World Cup! When we boarded the Rolf, we were delighted to find our ship and cabins to be just what we needed: immaculately clean, comfortable and with adequate storage space. We enjoyed eating in the lovely dining-room and on the more casual aquavit terrace It was fun to experience delicious new foods and delicacies while watching the shore roll by. We had cautioned our teen that she might be the only young person on the ship, but were amazed to find many of high school and college age on board. The activities and excursions were outstanding. I appreciated that while the younger members of the family could go on those that required more energy and endurance I could chose those that were easier or even remain on the ship with friends. Surprisingly, one of the excursions I enjoyed the most and will always remember was to the Monet Gardens. They were absolutely gorgeous. Normandy, Omaha Beach and the American Military Cemetery were very meaningful for each of us, but especially to me, since I was a child during WWII. The entire trip was definitely beyond expectations. I have been recommending Viking to all my friends. Our family would love to go on another river cruise and have even been discussing it. Read Less

After having many friends sing the praises of Viking, we scheduled our first river cruise with them. From the moment we landed at the airport to time we boarded the flight to come home we were treat to first class service. We were blown away with the way we were pampered. From the housekeeping to the food service, we had never experienced such service. The daily excursions were excellent, every detail was obviously improved based on guest feedback. The itineraries were structured to maximize our time with the highlights. The daily briefing by the Cruise Director prepared us for the following day. One example was informing us of what we would see on the beaches of Normandy. She explained the beaches would be populated with French vacationers, which many thought was disrespectful...until she explained that the French government surveyed the people who fought there and all indicated they wanted people to enjoy the beaches, that’s what they fought for. Viking listens! We were so impressed, that after being home less than a week we booked our 2019 cruise to Switzerland and Germany.308 Read Less

Scenic River cruises are the 5 star of River Cruising. The ship was fantastic, but the cabins are a little small. The dinning was exceptional, more selection that you can imagine. All port and shore excursions are included, sometimes there were to many choices, hard to chose. The embarkation & disembarkation were very smooth with very little effort on our part. We had part of a day in Paris before we travelled to Dijon by TVG, again a very smooth experience, and then to Chalon-sur-Saone where we boarded the Ship. At the end of the River Cruise, we were coached to Nice, France where we stayed over night, before flying out, bound for home. If I could make a couple of recommendations: 1) redesign the layout of the state rooms, as noted below. 2) somewhere have a board with all crew members pictures & names. We see the faces and were introduced but can't recall their names. Read Less

My husband and I recently made our second Viking cruise. Both trips were wonderful. The excursions and ship entertainment were both enjoyable, but the most outstanding thing about both trips was the service. So many situations come to mind when I say service but one was most memorable. At about 9:00 PM on a Wednesday evening I realized that I had not packed enough insulin for my husband. Immediately, I went to the front desk to ask about medical possibilities for getting a new prescription on France. The attendant called a doctor who came to us. He examined my husband, wrote us a script, and said that we needed to have it immediately. Now the most amazing part: a young ship employee actually ran from where we were docked to a pharmacy to get our medicine! he had it back to us in almost half an hour. Now that is service! Read Less

The cruise staff all around was amazing. From the crew to the waiters, to everybody we saw on board. We loved all the activities we could choose from. Being able to pick between included excursions made our experience wonderful. The hardest decision was deciding between red and white wine or how many desserts to have! I had allergies, and the maître d’ was able to walk me through the menu each day in order for me to be successful. In our 40s, we were one of the youngest people on the trip, however everybody was welcoming and we enjoyed hanging out with people on the ship. Being able to sit wherever we want it allowed us to have dinner with different people each evening. Sometimes we wanted a more casual dinner and we would sit in the bistro, this was nice because you could pick smaller portions of several different entrées. We would definitely choose an Avalon vacation again. Read Less

The Rinda trip from Paris to Normandy was spectacular. I loved the port stops in Vernon/Giverny, Rouen and Les Andelys. The ship was gorgeous, the food was amazing and the crew were a delight. A couple of suggestions: 1. The “Silver Spirits” bar package was well worth the $300 per cabin. Not that we were barflies, but it entitles you to almost any wine off their wine list. The house wines included with lunch and dinner were fine, but they had some really great ones on the list. 2. Be aware that the ship docks in Le Pecq, a suburb, and not Paris proper. If you want to go into the city on embarkation day, you can get there for less than 5 euros on the RER train. The St Germain en Leye station on the A1 line is close and stops in the heart of the city is close but it is a steep climb The included tour to Giverny is a bit rushed, while you have more time than you need. You might want to consider getting a cab to stay longer. The crowd does tend to skew older, although we did have some intergenerational groups. I am happy to answer any questions. Read Less

In 2016, some friends and I enjoyed a Seine River Cruise that included the Normandy Beaches. That cruise was with Mayflower Tours and was aboard the Amadeus, chartered from Lueftner Cruises. No sooner did we disembark the ship than I swore I would definitely return. And I did just that this past June...sailing on a similar Normandy Beaches cruise but this time with Viking River Cruises. BIG difference between the two cruises. Both river cruises included complimentary wine with both lunch and dinner, daily excursions, and basically similar stateroom amenities. However, the standard Viking Kadlin staterooms were MUCH smaller than the same category cabins on the Amadeus. Both ships were beautiful and immaculately maintained. The staff on both cruises were friendly and professional. To me the BIG difference was the quality and variety of the food, with the Viking Kadlin meals falling far short of Lueftner's Amadeus. And the cost difference was quite surprising. The Viking River Cruise was quite a bit more expensive than the one offered by Mayflower Tours. It definitely pays to shop. Read Less

Nothing Compares to Paris in the spring. My sister and I had planned a different cruise the year before but due to an accident we cancelled the trip. (A word of advice BUY insurance). This cruise meant so much to both of us. I cannot praise the crew enough. From the moment we landed we were treated like VIP’s. The ship was beautifully decorated, the food outstanding, the staff excellent. A special shout out to Mimi our cruise director, Nicky who sang and played every evening. The tours were delightful, especially the Giverny where the home of Monet gardens are located. Words cannot begin to describe the beauty there. After the cruise my sister and I spent 5days in Paris, we arranged this on our own. Paris, what’s not to love about Paris, it pulses life, culture , architecture, history, the people were very kind and friendly. Viva la France. Piano player was good and the tour director was very informative and enjoyable to hear their comments. Table servers were the same each day. We got to know them and they called us by name. Also we’re willing to do special food orders when requested. We have recommended Viking many times to other friends and have already book another river cruise over a year in advance. I would recommend you reduce the number of words required in the feedback section otherwise travelers will probably avoid providing feedback. An Air France strike during the cruise caused some passenger concern but Viking was on top of the situation assisting in rebooking flights on other carriers. I can not say enough about the friendliness and courtesy of all onboard staff. The restaurant provided a varied menu each day and included some standard items that could be ordered each day. Other fare offered in the restaurant were regional dishes. Wine and beer are offered st no additional cost with the lunch and evening meals. Local entertainers were brought onboard at several ports of call to add to the onboard entertainment experience. This trip was amazing from the start. We were met by Viking representatives that had a desk at the airport. We were driven from the airport to the Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel. We had no idea that it would be so far from the airport. We had initially considered finding a cheaper hotel and seeing Paris on our own. We so glad that we decided to book the 3-day pre-cruise in Paris. It gave us the opportunity to rest after the long flight from the west coast. We also had the opportunity to visit top visitor attractions in Paris that other cruisers saw only on a bus tour. The hotel was close to the Opera House and many visitor attractions. But the best part of the trip is that we got to meet other Viking cruisers at the hotel and quickly became friends. We visited Notre Dame, the Louve, Musee D'Orsay, the Eifel Tower, and had the opportunity to use the Paris Metro transportation system with our new friends. Viking had a desk in the Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel and the pre-tour excursions and neighbor walk was well done. The hotel's buffet breakfast was great. We found Paris' attractions to be very crowded, although we were traveled during an off season. We especially enjoyed Viking's itinerary and being able to see places off of the beaten track: Giverney and Monet's Garden, Roeun and it's spired cathedrals, Normandy, and La Roche-Guyon with its amazing castle built next to a cliff and 300 spiraling steps that lead UP to the dungeons at the top. I could have stayed at Monet's Garden all day! The history of D-Day and Normandy lead us to do a lot of reading about WWII when we returned and gave us a greater appreciation of the ingenuity to build artificial harbors in England for the 5 Normandy beaches and the courage of our US and allied soldiers. We had previously gone on a Holland America cruise, but preferred the more intimate Viking river cruise experience with a maximum of 190 cruisers. The food and the service were superb. The chefs were very accommodating when there were special diet requirements. Throughout the trip, we liked the portable audio device that allowed us to hear the local guides clearly. We also liked that we were broken into smaller groups and that there were several guides. It was nice that daily excursions were included in the cruise price. Some of the excursions required us to get up early the next day so we didn't take advantage of the entertainment. We went only to one. The staff calls you by name. You are not a room number. Amazing! On the final day, a Viking agent accompanied us to the airport. We got to the airport 3 hours, 20 minutes before the departure time. It was like Disneyland with lines that snaked. We crept along one long line and that was followed by at least 3 additional long lines. We were so glad that a Viking agent was there to communicate with the French-speaking agent at the airport. We barely made it on to our flight. What made our trip especially memorable was meeting new friends. We hope that we can travel together on future Viking cruises. Everything was perfect and it this was one of our most memorable trips. Thank you Viking staff! Read Less

Friends who have had very positive experiences with Avalon Waterways, highly recommended it to us. It was our first and all our experiences exceeded our expectations. The crew, each one, was extremely efficient, courteous, and especially friendly to the guests which, I must say, were a delight to meet and great to become friends and socialize with. A plus was the knowledgeable cruise director and his meticulous attention to detail, schedules, and in simply directing everyone to where they should be at any given time and in a timely way. What a guy he is! Also, the tour guides were knowledgeable about the various venues we visited. The food served in the lounge and in the dining room was excellent, as well as the friendly ship's company who cooked and served the guests. No complaint or mistake, if any, went uncorrected as far as we know. I might add that the musical entertainment that was presented on the vessel was a pleasant and unexpected plus. The berthing was perfecto. Comfortable, very accommodating, and with marvelous riverside scenery. We are looking forward our booking another river cruise with Avalon Waterways. We had heard Viking River Cruises were great! And ours was! We opted for the 3-day pre-cruise in Paris and stayed at the beautiful Marriott Opera House on Hausmann. We were met at the airport on time and were transported in a very nice Mercedes to our hotel where we checked in and met with our Viking rep at the hotel. There were free walking tours available that gave us some great history and recommendation of great places to eat. We boarded the long-ship on our 4th day for our cruise from Paris to the Beaches of Normandy. Omaha Beach was worth the trip as was the movie at the visitors center. At the American cemetery our guide conducted a very moving memorial service for us consisting of the singing of the National Anthem, prayers, recognition of veterans among our group, and we each received a red rose to place on a gravesite as we walked the rows and rows of white headstones. It was a very moving and beautiful visit. We took the optional Versailles tour, which was expensive and consisted of an included lunch at a golf course. The lunch there was terrible, but the tour was excellent. We also paid for a Paris By Night tour. It rained that evening so we didn't get to see through the bus windows as well we would have liked. It was great to see the Eiffel Tour at 11 p.m. With it's twinkling lights. We had a Veranda B room that had a lovely outdoor sitting area with 2 chairs and a table. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage to unpack our things. The room had it's own thermostat control, so we were always comfortable. All of the food was great! You could eat the buffet breakfast or choose items from a menu for all meals. We had free wine/beer with lunch and dinner. There were no assigned seats at meals which allowed you to meet lots of new people. The entertainment was wonderful with music during Happy Hour and after dinner. One evening in port a small 3-person local "soft jazz" group played, another night the piano guy sang. Both were excellent. Another evening there was a fun "dance with a staff member" contest, which was loads of fun. We met some wonderful people on the cruise as there were only 196 people aboard. Most were close to our age ranging from 60-80. The tours in each port were great, some free, some you had to pay extra for. All guides on our tours were locals and spoke English and were very knowledgeable. There were beautiful sitting areas aboard the ship. The top deck had lots of lounge chairs and also had shaded area for enjoying the view. All of the ship's staff were delightful, helpful and fun. No children are permitted, which, although we enjoy children, we didn't have to listen to whining, etc. The Captain of the ship was young and a very personable young man. My husband being retired Navy enjoyed talking with him. Our chambermaid, Gunita went the extra mile the whole trip. She noticed we had wine on the table in our room the first afternoon and that evening there were 2 wine glasses waiting for us. Our room was sparkling clean and the bath products were top-notch with fluffy towels. The bottom line is we were treated like royalty, and like family, wined and dined and loved everything about our cruise. We are already looking forward to our next cruise Amsterdam to Budapest in 2020. Read Less

We were quickly caught up on France's great history. The Louvre and Notre Dame were great. Traveling on the river to Normandy presented great excursions. Visiting the farm in Rouen was a particular highlight and Monet's gardens and home were a real treat. Normandy was a very special experience, especially the visit to Omaha Beach. Looking at the geography of the beach, one has to wonder how our great soldiers were able to overcome the odds by making it up that wide expanse of a beach and then up the hills beyond. This has to be seen to understand how difficult a time they must of had. The ceremony at the Memorial and the walk through the cemetery fulfilled our purpose for taking this cruise. As always, the food was wonderfully prepared and served. Our servers quickly became our friends and their entertaining capability made each meal more than just a food experience. The ease of coming and going throughout the whole trip is much appreciated. Read Less

Our main goal of the cruise was to visit Normandy which was awe inspiring, but the remainder of the cruise was just as interesting and exciting. Each port provided a glimpse into the history of France. All the guides were local and provided a fun-fact tour of their cities. The transportation buses were fairly new and comfortable but some provided less leg room for those who are over 6 feet is was a little cramped. The ship was beautiful and comfortable. The crew was excellent and provided you with personal touches. The stateroom was well equiped and the space was well used. There is only one restaurant on the boat but the food was very good and varied daily. The lounge doubled as a meeting place for information talks and an inclosed relaxation area. The top deck had plenty of chairs, tables and lounges and their was enough shade provided for those wishing not to be in the sun. Read Less

The ship traveled to areas I want to visit. Have taken Viking cruise before and found it to be a great value with excellent service. Everything was well organized. Planning the trip was easy and everything went smoothy including flights and getting settled on the ship. Staff very helpful. Food and amenities excellent. Included tours informative with good guides. Loved seeing Monet's home and garden. It looked liked the paintings we saw in Paris, which were amazing. The visit to Normandy was special. The area is beautiful and visiting the war memorials very moving. We extended in Paris and had a wonderful time. It was helpful to have had the tours of Paris before our stay. We were able to plan our time so we could see all the highlights in Paris. Weather was warm and sunny. Flights home were very good. A wonderful trip we would recommend it highly. Read Less

I chose this cruise because of the timing, and itinerary. My Mother and I purchased this cruise only 2 months before the departure date and I booked everything directly with the AMA Waterways call centre. the experience was amazing right from the moment the representative picked up the phone! Helpful, and knowledgeable we had the cruise, the after extension and our flights and transfers all completed within half an hour. We were met at the airport by the cruise line representative, put in a comfortable transport directly to the ship. Although we arrived early we could stay on the ship in the lounge until our room was ready, lunch and hot beverages were served. The Cabins are small but cozy and my only complaint was the beds were uncomfortably hard. But the linens were beautiful and the shower was modern with instant hot water! There was also Apple TV and internet access in the room. The food was outstanding - particularly the Chefs table, but the regular meals were top notch. the soups and the breads deserve special mention. The ship itself was a bit Dowdy, but comfortable. For me the highlights were the tours, and the cruise manager went out of her way to be helpful. My mom is 79 and recovering from knee surgery (we were celebrating here recovery) Everyone on the staff was helpful and kind. Each room came equipped with your own Quietvox for the tours, which was a nice touch, when you met your guide it was simple to link to her/his transmitter so it was easy to hear and i found the transmission to be very good. I felt the tours were all top notch! Read Less
