This cruise was rather expensive. My travel agent really pushed this cruise line, and one thing she assured me was the food would be fabulous. It turned out a lot of the food was frozen and pre-made. I sailed on the Lueftner Amadeus Diamond on the Seine, roundtrip from Paris, departing Wednesday, September 20. This was a full-ship charter by AHI (Alumni Holidays), including a couple dozen guests from Smithsonian Journeys. From the minute we stepped on the boat, we were treated like royalty. The staff worked to make sure everything was impeccable.
