Wife and I, 60s, cruised the British Isles from Jun 17 to 29th, from L'Havre. Embarkation simple and efficient. Choose an inside cabin on the Aloha deck at a very low price; cabin we fine as was the cabin steward. Food and service in the buffet was very good which was very beneficial since in the restaurant(s) it was very sketchy, many of the staff ill prepared to serve English speaking ...
Joined the cruise in Le Havre which seemed to confuse a lot of things. Boarded fist day with cruise card, next day was delivered ocean medallion as well. First time I returned to my cabin door was already unlocked this needs to be emphasised better as thought my room had been left unlocked! Internet MUCH faster with new system which is great. Loved the new beds very comfortable. New tvs are good ...
We had been recommended the ports on a British Isles Cruise from a friend. We found the ports on a Princess cruise. We had cruised Princess several times before and were expecting a level of quality in the ship and staff that unfortunately we did not receive on this cruise. The Crown Princess seems to be a tired ship with a tired staff and crew. They seem more interested in selling you extras ...

We chose this cruise for the ports and this was our daughters first trip abroad. We wanted her to see Paris along with the other ports fabulous ports in Ireland and Scotland. Pros to this ship was the great new sleep system. They have all new beds with fabulous pillow tops that call to you after a long day of touring! Our cabin was clean, but ...
Wanted a 15 day transatlantic with northern European emphasis. Never sailed Princess and probably wont be back. 2 1/2 hours to board in Southampton in a club class mini suite. Apparently mobility issues gets u on first but that was half the ship apparently. Ship was big and maximized cabin space at the expense of ship features. No where inside to escape the throngs...the Piazza reminds me of ...
This was our first river cruise. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly, though the dock area was a bit funky and dirty. The excursions were very well done with local guides. That said, there were a couple of excursions that had too many people. The boat and accommodations were nice, and the room was quiet. The pricing for drinks at the bar was a bit high. There is a happy hour, though we ...
i will avoid subjective comments like how good the food was and try to stick with facts tWhat made my feel disappointed.
First, AMA decided to use a port of embarkation and debarkation that was different from the one that was scheduled when I made the reservation. There are two primary ports used by the river boat companies home porting in Paris. AMA decided on using a differeent one that was ...
The Avalon Poetry 2 is a very pretty smaller ship. The staterooms are very nice and the bathroom is the nicest of any cruise vessel I have been on. Everything is immaculately clean. The angling of the bed to look out the window is wonderful. The window opening to make the stateroom into a balcony is also very nice. The downside, is not being able to keep window or curtains open while docked ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary - Paris to Prague. However we did not read the itinerary carefully enough and "Paris" and "Prague" turned out to be only half day bus tours. That was very disappointing. Once there are paying for the trip, I was at least expecting a full day with some meals thrown in.
The other bid disappointment about the cruise was how little time we had to ...
This was our first time on a Viking Cruise - The Cities of Lights tour that began in Paris and ended in Prague. Paris and Prague were wonderful, hotels very nice, and the visit to both cities was very enjoyable.
The on board experience was great. Very attentive, competent and professional staff, the cabins were comfortable and the restaurant and food excellent. Our complaint is with reference to ...
