Chose cruise to visit places we had not been before. For most part enjoyed our trip but: Buffet - hot food was cold - cold food was warm - salad bar was good.
Dining room meals good
Shops - lots of booze, candy, jewelry, clothes, souvenirs, etc. - first night someone asked for halls candy for sore throat - not available - week later heard same question and same response.

We chose our first Princess Cruise because we were celebrating my husband’s retirement - and we always wanted to visit Scotland and Ireland. We arrived in London 5 days early and visited the major tourist attractions. A Princess bus picked us up at Victoria Station and drove us to Southampton. Embarkation was very organized. We had to wait awhile, but chairs were provided and we were called in ...
We have been on Princess for 9 cruises. The 11 day itinerary for Paris and the British Isles drew us to this cruise. It was a good choice although with 2 busy pre-cruise days in Paris, and 11 days with 9 ports it was extremely active and probably not for people who are looking for a R&R vacation
Embarkation at Le Harve was remarkably fast due to so few people starting the cruise there. We had ...
My husband and I went on the Viking Rhine cruise and I couldn't wait to go on another. I went with a friend for this excursion and had a blast. From Paris to Luxembourg to Germany to Czech Republic, we saw so much of Europe. The tour guides were great and I felt like I learned a lot on the trip.
The entire staff is terrific - very friendly, helpful and professional. The ship is beautiful! I ...
After about a dozen ocean cruises we decided to try a river cruise. We chose Viking as they have a very good reputation. We had a French balcony on deck three and had ample room for all our stuff. We started with two days in Paris and ended with two days in Prague. Both cities were amazing. From the moment we got off the plane we were taken excellent care of by the Viking staff. We loved the ...
We have traveled a good part of Europe and have toyed with the idea of a river cruise. With the Cities of Lights cruise it gave us the opportunity to extend both our front end stay in Paris and our final stay in Prague and experience river cruising on the Moselle, Rhine and Mein. To say that the cruise exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. Our experience on the Viking Odin was ...
We like to see places. With the tour in every port and the river cruising during daylight, our needs were greatly satisfied. The scenery along the rivers was spectacular, and the cities on the tours were unique, historical and very interesting.
The accommodations were excellent, but the on-board activities were very limited. We would have liked to have seen more and better entertainment, and an ...
This was our first river cruise with Viking, and it couldn't have been a better experience. We were met at the airport by our Viking representative and taken to our hotel in Paris. From that point on we were taken care of completely. At all times at our hotels in Paris and Prague, there was a Viking representative available to assist with booking tours or just giving directions. The Odin was ...
We chose this cruise as it offered 2 nights stay in both Paris and Prague, and a visit down three rivers with stops in many towns that we were unfamiliar with in Germany. We did purchase the liquor package and only because we are not big beer or wine drinkers. we definitely got our moneys worth but I must add that the wines they served with dinner and lunch were top notch. Before booking this ...
I chose this cruise because I liked the itinerary. This was my first Viking River Cruise. The ship was beautiful, the crew couldn't have been nicer. The food was excellent. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Our tours were great. The 176 passengers on this cruise were so much fun to be with. our cruise director, Bojan Bozic, was with us throughout our voyage. He was such a ...
