We chose this cruise based on itinerary. We have been on the Crown and this was our 15th cruise on Princess. We were on the 28 days version of the British Isles cruise with the transatlantic. I felt for a older ship it was in well maintained condition. They were replacing carpet in many rooms while we were about. Saw little rust and wood railings were well varnished not oxidized. I felt the ...

After reading all of the negative Reviews about the Crown Princess, British Isles itinerary, my expectations of the ship and cruise line were not high. But, my group was pleasantly surprised and we really enjoyed our trip leaving from Le Havre at the end of August. The interior room, for the price, was better than expected, the bed was very comfortable and the cabin fit our needs for three just ...

We chose our first Princess Cruise because we were celebrating my husband’s retirement - and we always wanted to visit Scotland and Ireland. We had to wait awhile, but chairs were provided and we were called in ...

The cruise was an introduction to the German countryside and the small towns full of history and charm. The excursions were appropriate, but there were too many castles to see. A couple of activity events would have given variety. We particularly liked the abundance of drinks and appetizers. How it was presented and served really was very nice. We enjoyed the different cuisine ...

I have done three other Viking River Cruises. My first disappointment was with the Air Dept. with British Airways chosen as the airline of choice to get to Paris from Denver. Because the pilot decided not to depart Denver on the designated day and had to wait for a part to fly in from London, I missed one night and a whole day in Paris. In the future I will make my own air arrangements. ...

My wife and I are just returned from our Viking River, Cities of Light Cruise, with two nights in Paris to start then river cruising across Germany via the Mosel, we boarded the Idun in Trier, the Rhine and ending on the Main, before bussing to Prague for a two night stay. Two nights in Paris is not enough, so I would recommend adding a few more days on the front end in Paris as well as at least ...
