We have been with NCl and Royal Carribean before. This itinerary worked for us and just trying something new. So Disappointing.The positives first.
Embarkation was easy and well organised.
Cabin L224 inside was fine.
Staff were very nice.
Nightly entertainment was good .
Plenty of outside space and sunbeds.

This was the second time that we’d cruised on this ship. Standards have certainly dropped. Firstly the good points. Embarkation at Southampton was excellent and totally stress free. P+O have certainly dropped their standards no doubt in search of greater profits that come at the expense of their passengers.
We have been on several P+O cruises before and was always reasonably satisfied but this one was bad from start to finish.

Embarkation very quick and efficient. Security staff on boarding dour and unwelcoming - not a smile or greeting. Cabin size adequate with tea and coffee facilities (replaced daily). Embarkation and disembarkation can only be described as shambolic. It seemed everyone was at the terminal at the same time and so no seats and long delays to embark. We have been on at least 6 other cruises with RCI, Celebrity and Seabourn and this was our first with P&O. We were extremely disappointed to say the least, even when compared to Island Cruises: the customer service both pre and during the cruise was absolutely disgraceful.

First time for us, and the last with P and O I think. Not what I expected for the price, I'm not hard to please but this was quite downmarket. I got the impression from others who had cruised before that they felt the same, perhaps P and O are trying to appeal to a wider market but they are certainly not appealing to the higher end market.
