Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

This was a 1st family holiday, booked by our daughter and SIL, travelling with our granddaughter and inlaws. We have all cruised many times before and after reading the poor reviews I went with very low expectations. I think many of the reviews are unfounded. YEs the ship is huge but rarely felt mobbed even though this was the Easter holidays and the ship was full. Embarkation was a lot slower ...

Early misgivings over what to expect from recent reviews were dismissed as soon as we got to the Mayflower Cruise Terminal, boarding was seamless, from check in to a glass in hand was just 20 minutes, Our Deluxe Cabin starboard/aft was large with an extended non overlooked balcony. it was clean spacious with a lovely touch of Champagne and Chocolates, a welcome return of dressing gowns and ...

After reading many bad reviews about Arvia,we had mixed feelings about getting onboard, but we always say let's make our cruise the best we can make it what ever happens. We have been on plenty of cruises with different cruise lines and plenty with P and O. We have to say we had a fantastic time ,yes it wasn't perfect ,but we didn't experience anything to really moan about.Food was of a good ...

Nice break away

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Azura

I travelled as a solo woman in her mid 40’s. I chose this cruise as it wasn’t much more expensive than booking a land based holiday, the comparing solo supplements etc. I flew in on the Saturday with Tui, but it was on an airplane ran by Titan airways, so P&O contracted to TUI who contracted out again to Titan. Made the thank you announcements quite long! Flight was comfortable and plane ...

What a Beautiful ship even if the central atrium is a little plain by comparison to the competition, the ship was kept spotlessly clean and in nice condition, we found the food on board to be very good by and large, although the main dinning halls menu could feel a bit repetitive, The Epicurean was well worth the extra money as was Shindu, we had mixed results from the Keel & Cow with a couple of ...

Not bad but could be better

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Azura

We had previously sailed on Azura in 2010 when she was brand new and after 14 years there was quite a difference in the state of the ship. That said she was clean and the staff were always around cleaning and polishing. Our cabin was clean and functional although the lack of USB points was an issue as we could only plug our devices in where the kettle was situated above the fridge. We didn't ...

I thought the ship was wonderful.however the entertainment on board left a sour taste in my mouth, they have their own onboard busker, who was rubbish to be fair, Frankie was a good singer, but the Triptonic group i was not impressed with. Our Cabin was outside with a window which i was impressed with, as the size is decent as well, and the walk in wardrobe was a great idea, all ships should have ...

Never been on a Christmas cruise or been away from home before at this time of year. It was a different experience with P&O staff making the experience special for passengers especially children. We have cruised extensively over the last 10 years all with P&O and I do agree with comments re things are very different post covid on all their ships particularly regarding food choice in the main ...

Another Great Cruise

This is our 4th time on Iona and once again a good experience. We had not done a Christmas cruise before and we were a little unsure but there was nothing to worry about. The organisation for Christmas dinner was perfect as was the meal itself. Just as the meal selections in the various restaurants throughout the trip were. We do not tend to go to Horizons very often but there seemed to be plenty ...

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Azura

Booked a balcony cabin for a trip around the Canaries and up to Madeira fly cruise reasonably well organised. The balcony cabin was spacious, but sadly showing its age over the seven days. The steward Teo was excellent keeping the cabin immaculate. The buffet fared much better food was hot and plentiful with courteous and pleasant staff, but at times it was the rugby scrum. We were ...
