We sailed on a Christmas Cruise for the first time in 2023 on P&O Britannia, influenced by seeing Britannia docked alongside Carribean Princess (on which we were sailing) in February 2019. The crowd on the ship seemed to be having a great time, and the people we chatted to on the dockside recommended the ship.
So, the first dispapointment is that we discovered the "Great British Sailaway" has ...
I booked Arvia 2 years ago as am a Business Travel Consultant and I only got back this morning.
Theirs plenty of highs and many lows to. Where do you start well here goes.
The Highs: Amazing staff who will do their best to go above and beyond for you
The Ship is big as it accommodates 5200 passenger's so its not going to be everyone's cup of tea but the cabins are spacious and I ...

December 9th to 23rd 2023
This cruise out of Barbados was a total disappointment from start to finish.
The cabin was good our stewardess was good the ship itself was clean.
However as for the rest, speaking as a disabled person the so called Reception Desk were not in the slightest bit ...
Well where do i start. When you say i am going on a cruise to the Caribean most people will say !WOW! Unfortunatly it was not!! The ship handles well the capacity except when it comes to the sun beds!! What a joke, i was on a holiday and not prepared to argue or wake up every morning at 6 so i could have a sunbed (very poor managment if you see any).
The food was between school diners and some ...
The holiday started with a flight on Tui Dreamliner which should have left at 11.10 am and took off at 12 noon due to fog at Gatwick. They served us free drinks just after take off including alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and tea and coffee. Then around an hour into the flight they served us lunch which was ok and you could have free wine with dinner. Bear in mind if you want to buy Duty Free on ...
The cruise itself was OK. Usual P&O fare, full of Brits, many moaning about stuff that was fine really. Food was fine but not great. Glass House is the only Speciality food venue worth paying for. Hard to get away from the noise on the pool decks. Crew are lovely
The real issue is their post cruise service. P&O booked a cheap airline (Maleth Aero) for the Caribbean winter season. Our flight was ...
We'd cruised before but not with P and O and decided to give them a try.
We were very disappointed throughout. Our Cabin was flooded from the cabin next door and it took them 2 days to move us. The carpet was wet through and we didn't know with what.
The cabin we were moved to had a toilet malfunction, it over filled with fresh water thankfully. Although it was 11 pm at night and we had ...
AVOID AVOID AVOID
YOU WILL BE LEFT DISAPPOINTED AND A FEW GRAND OUT OF POCKET
I feel that the following needs to be brought to your attention these issues are very disappointing from what is supposed to be a luxury holiday.
1) rear of the cruise ship been damaged from collision with another ship.
2) swimming pools in the centre of ship had missing tiles, which i caught my foot on ...
We wanted a trip to the Caribbean and this offered a visit to 2 islands we hadn’t been to before. However, we hadn’t realised that there were actually less port stops on this ship than on the smaller Brittania. So more sea days, with more people, and it seemed with less staff.
We should have given up when we had difficulty booking online because there was a fault in the website which threw ...
