3 days before we sailed, we were contacted by P&O who advised us that our cabin was no longer available and gave us an ultimatum of a downgrade to inside cabin with a 50% refund or cancel our holiday. We flew from Gatwick to Tenerife to board the ship. The transfer to the north of the island was disorganised and chaotic. We waited two hours for the coach to pick us up. So disappointed, we are seasoned cruisers and booked this because it was inexpensive but really regret it now as ship is falling apart is not maintained and in our opinion dirty especially the public toilets where the tiles and skirting is full of grime. Never again. First time on p&o. so disappointed. Bar service non existant. Sometimes had to wait for over a quarter of an hour just to order a drink. And another to be served. Food——- . Too many overweight and ill mannered seniors on board (although there were quality passengers also).
Too few comfortable seats in desirable areas unless constantly harrassed by (very polite) waiters to buy drink after drink.
The instant you emptied a cup, glass, or plate it was removed by waiters (sometimes they had to be told to leave glasses alone).
