We chose this cruise along with a trip to India. The ship is very tired and needs total refurbishment. The hot food in the buffet was inedible, cold food acceptable. The restaurants were good with a good choice of menus. The entertainment was awful and it was very evident that the ships company were tired and lacked enthusiasm. This was a cruise from Singapore to Cape town. We have cruised on this ship several times but never on a sector cruises so we were unsure what to expect. We were not disappointed but she is starting to need a bit of a refurbishment, particularly the cabins. No interactive TV here like the newer ships.

We'd flown to Singapore from Phuket, arriving in the late evening on the 4th February. We stayed at the Excelsior Peninsular, a pleasant 4 star-ish grade hotel in what is known as the Marina area of the city. Quite good value for money, at the internet price that we paid. 'Rack rates' in Singapore can be astronomical at the moment.
