Appalling smell

Several previous cruises with P&O. This one ruined - not because of the cancelled port visits (due to the current virus panic) which the captain handled well - but because the ship stank of sewage. We had paid for a good midship balcony cabin but could not use the balcony because of the constant vile stench of sewage. Public rooms and the promenade deck midship also stank of sewage. It ...

The sun decks on the ship were soulless. They were spartan and devoid of any character. The ship had just had a refurb and we were surprised how poor the ship was turned out. In the theatre it was either very cold due to the air conditioning or extremely hot. This ship has no WOW factor at all. It would be better “dry docked” and opened as an old people’s home. The entertainment in the theatre ...

The food in the Meridian Restaurant and the service was appalling as was the food in the Belvedere, as a result I have managed to lose 8 lb in weight not what you would expect to lose on a cruise. We did not experience the food in the specialised restaurants as this should not be necessary apart from a special occasion. It would seem that Kersh used these restaurants as the norm so should not ...

All details are factual and the subject of a formal written complaint to P&O My wife booked the cruise in Oct 2014 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary which was to occur in early 2015 We arrived 27/11 /15 and Azura A529 departed Bridgetown on the 28th November 2015. The run up to the cruise was plagued with issues as a result of poor recommendation by our agents but after a last ...

We had a terrible experience with P&O five years ago on the Oceana, cruising through the Panama Canal. Argumentative staff, cold food and dirty plates. We said never again but we were persuaded to give them another chance and as we had not been to some of the islands before, we took the risk and book an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Azura, leaving from Barbados on the 6th March. This is ...

It's my first time with P&O with a direct charter flight from Newcastle. However, the flight, operated by Thomsons was a complete rip off. I was handed a letter at check-in advising the entertainment system didn't work. The premium economy seat I'd paid £299 return extra for was appaling. The I was elbow to elbow with my fellow passenger and the recline offer any other comfort for such a long ...

Just returned from a Caribbean cruise on Azura, did we enjoy it? Yes in many, but not in others. Ou transport from the airport to the cruise terminal was on a very poor coach falling apart and the registration procedure the longest we have endured in Barbados. The deluxe cabin with balcony we enjoyed though probably the carpet needed changing, the steward was good did everything we asked. The ...

After 15 cruises with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess and even Thomson I feel that I have something to compare this cruise with. As we had done a cruise in September with Ventura but had already booked the New Year Cruise we were very aware that P&O were not of the same class as our other cruises but were not prepared for the Azura. The only positives I can think of are the direct flights ...
