Ventura in a wheelchair

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Ventura

Hadn’t sailed with P and O for a few years and were slightly concerned with negative reviews. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the Ventura was. Looked well maintained and clean. Easy to get around ship in my wheelchair and waiters were very helpful in MDRs, moving chairs to accomodate me. We booked a standard balcony cabin as I don’t need a fully accessible cabin. There was plenty of ...

Good & Not so Good - 14 nights

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Having read the reviews in advance we were a little worried. This was our 27th cruise (various lines including P&O). We had an aft balcony cabin which was on the corner of the ship. It was spotlessly clean and, although a little tired furnishing-wise, due ship's age, it was more than adequate. Only gripe was the bed seemed harder than usual. The service around the ship was fine, staff were ...

Baltic (More or Less)

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Aurora

The Baltic Sea cruise was a good value for money, and relaxing as a whole. This was my second time on Aurora, though the ship had gone through a refit and converted to an adults only vessel since my last trip, so there were some changes in layout. Embarkation went very smoothly, and we were directed to our muster station on arrival getting the check in instantly out of the way. The small cabin ...

Amazing fjords

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Aurora

Cruise was wonderful, a relatively small ship so went right into port all days apart from one. We stopped at 7;different ports which was fantastic. We liked the ship, staff were great, entertainment very good, food very good too. Our only negative comments would be that there were no water points where you could fill up water bottles. You could order small bottles to your room but it was ...

Overall Enjoyable but......

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Cruised from Malta for 7 days going to Greece, Corfu, Dubrovnik and Split. Was a little apprehensive having seen other reviews but the bottom line is we did have a good enjoyable cruise. Recent cruises have been the Harmony of the Seas and we previously cruised on the Ventura (2017 I think) and had a excellent time so using those as a benchmark. Flights and Transfers to/from the ship etc. ...

Lovely cruise

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Just had a lovely cruise around the Greek Island on Azura. Despite other reviews, we found the food to be good and plentiful, however, we do agree that the choice, especially in the main restaurants, have been reduced. My wife was so looking forward to her prawn cocktail starter which was always on the menu in the past but not now. The ship is looking tired in a lot of areas and there seemed to ...

'enjoyable holiday'

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

We have recently returned from our Azura cruise and have had a lovely holiday. The ship is older but smart in places. We travelled on her a few years ago and noticed a few improvements. There does seem to be a few cutbacks with staffing but we found staff very helpful and most of them have double jobs on board and work hard. The food in the main dining area were smaller portions which ...

This was our 4th P & O cruise but first on Ventura. Yes things have changed since Covid and yes the ship is one of their older ones in the fleet but we had a lovely time on our 14 night Canaries trip. We had a large balcony, room was clean and tidy and bed comfortable but appreciate the balcony itself could have done with a spruce up. Service of our rooms was great with ice bucket filled ...

We booked this week long cruise on Azura as for a Special birthday celebration. Our whole experience on the cruise from start to finish was absolutely amazing. The staff are a credit and are very helpful and polite, the wide selection of food caters for all , we ate mainly in the Main restaurant in the evening and often had breakfast and lunch at the buffet all the food was well prepared and ...

The Azura staff from stateroom to bar staff are amazing We were served quickly wherever we went on ship and all staff were helpful and courteous. We could always find a seat in bars an theatre too. The food for most part was delicious and being gluten free I found waiters in restaurants really helpful. Gluten free options were always marked on the menu and each night the head waiter would bring ...
