Cruise to Norway, Iceland and Ireland. Itinerary great, the ship not so!!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Aurora

I chose this cruise as I liked the itinerary. I was dubious about going on the Aurora, but the fact that it was Adult Only helped seal the deal and the price was right. Why was I dubious about the Aurora? This was my 3rd trip on her, my first being in 2019 just before the pandemic. My experience then was great. Good ship, lovely crew, good service and great food choices. Having experienced ...

Cruise was wonderful, a relatively small ship so went right into port all days apart from one. We stopped at 7;different ports which was fantastic. We liked the ship, staff were great, entertainment very good, food very good too. Our only negative comments would be that there were no water points where you could fill up water bottles. You could order small bottles to your room but it was ...

A very British visit to the Norwegian Fjords!

We are seasoned travelers, but not cruisers. So consider this review with that in mind. We found the August 2022 Norway cruise on P&O's Arcadia to be wonderful, especially given the still-difficult conditions cruise ships are facing. The Aurora is an easy ship to love-- big enough to have lots of activities and programming, but small enough that nothing was crowded or kept you waiting in line. ...

Not quite what I was expecting

We chose this cruise for the Itinerary. We have done 38 cruises with many different cruise lines but this was our first with P&O. From reading boards before hand I was lead to believe this was a slightly up market cruise, better than celebrity and Princess but more traditional like Cunard. Having been on many of these lines I thought I knew what to expect. Embarkation was good very smooth ...

Ventura to the Fjords

We wanted to go on this particular cruise as we have heard nothing but great reviews about the Fjords and we have sailed on the Ventura before. We drove down to Southampton from North Wales and this was probably the best trip down we have had. There weren't any hold ups and after reading on CC that parking and portering had changed, we were pleasantly surprised that it was exactly how it was ...

Norway lovely, But Azura not a great ship, PO must do better!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Azura

I have lucky to have cruised quite a bit over the last 15 years, on a number of different ships and different cruise lines. With PO I have experienced Azura, Britannia and Oceana but I am sad to say that over the years I have seen a steady decline in the cruising experience offered by PO. I was able to experiance the Azura in its ingrual year and a quite a few times since. Although it ...

Love Norway good memories of deceased partner. The food left a lot to be desired often only warm, uninspired boring. Had one meai in beach club excellent as was the service, 2 meals in self service very nice. Was put on a singles table disaster I was a man paired with 5 women ranging between 65ish to mid nineties could not gat a dcent conversation disaster. I am a very outgoing person and have ...

Great itinerary for focusing on fjords

We chose this cruise because it included all the most beautiful fjords and port stops that I had seen recommended on various websites. Stops included Eidfjord, Flåm, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Andalsnes and Olden. Twelve nights obviously gives you a broader experience than just seven. Not for you if you want to go further north in Norway or combine fjords with other countries. I had very high ...

Never Again....

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Ventura

Chose this cruise for a first time cruise. Brochure made it look very nice. We would not recommend this cruise Too many people, not enough space or things to do - just cramped. Everywhere busy, queues and everything expensive. Queues to get on and off ship (one day 90 minutes waiting in the rain to get back on ship). Cabins small and basic. Nothing grand. Nothing like photos in brochure. ...

Our first cruise and we won't hesitate to return

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Azura

We chose this cruise as my husband wanted to see the Fjords and photograph the landscape. I read all reviews prior to going on the cruise. All I can say is that I think we must have gone on a different cruise to everyone who had negative comments about Azura. Our cabin was spotless (a balcony cabin), the cabin steward was excellent and cleaned the cabin twice a day. Couldn't complain about ...
