Overall, I thought it a floating Butlins for geriatrics.
That may sound a little harsh but I expected a lot more for the money. The entertainment was often suboptimal and the food somewhat bland. Portions were small but not a-la-carte; good job there was food to be had elsewhere on the ship afterwards. Of more concern, the ship ran out of the cheaper wines after week one, which was a concern ...
Britania 29th July 2018 - We have cruised many times with many different cruise lines. I must say we were more than happy with Britannia, it was a busy time of year, being during school holidays the ship was full! And around the swimming pools very busy, Although I always say you can do as little or as much on board, we found the cabins to be lovely, very modern and great facilities! We were in ...
We thought being a P & O cruise on the Britannia and paying £5500 we would enjoy the best of service and the top food, after all Marco White is shouting out about his food on the ship.
We stayed overnight at the Hilton close by, saved racing sown on a Sunday morning, it was worth it.
Getting on the ship was great, parking with a sort of meet and greet, take your luggage out, the car is taken ...
We booked this Mediterranean cruise for my 50th. We had the time of our life's .We had freedom dining and ate every night in the meridian. The waiters and hosts were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious from starters to desserts. The bars and entertainment we enjoyed and they shown films too. We played bingo and on the roulette table and had a very good time doing so.The pool and ...
This was our second p&o cruise having previously been on the excellent Venturer. Everything about Britannia is 5 star. Embarkation went very smoothly and we were soon in the Crows nest enjoying our first cocktail. This is a wonderful place to watch a sunset . We found the food to be mainly excellent . Choosing to eat freedom dining was a definite plus and gave us flexibility. We also tried the ...
We chose this cruise as keen fans of 'Strictly' and had been on the Britannia last year on a similar cruise.
Food was good usual standard for P&O. We had freedom dinning and ate mainly in the Peninsular. Good service...friendly staff.
We ate one night in the Epicurean...well worth the £28pp cover charge. Good for a special evening and we celebrated a birthday. Maitre de was a little grumpy ...
This was my first cruise with P&O and will be my last , we booked the cruise ship because my wife had always wanted to go on one , and my parents had been on loads of cruises and said how luxurious it was .
The embarkation was efficient and the staff were helpful , we were able to go to our cabin straightaway and were met by our cabin steward who was very helpful .
On our way to the safety ...
We have cruised twice before with Princess and Royal Caribbean and decided to give P&O a chance.
We had heard that P&O were more formal than many other cruise lines but found that this was not the case.
Apologies if this review isn't 'professional' as this is the first review I have written for anything.
The motivation for this really stems from reading some negative reviews this year on ...
I chose this cruise specifically for the destinations. I only found out after booking this cruise that it was a Strictly come dancing cruise. What a bonus!
11 of us travelled down in 3 cars. Upon arrival our luggage was taken from us by efficient and friendly attendants who then drove away and parked the cars for the duration of the 2 weeks holiday. Easy and stress free and well worth the ...
We picked this cruise because it left from Southampton (no flying) and visited countries we had not seen before at the right time of year.
The drive to Southampton was smooth and we arrived at 12.15, with a couple of hours to spare, the port parking were very organised and efficient. We expected to sit in the departure lounge but were processed straight away and on the ship in the buffet by ...
