Wetherspoons at sea. First cruise with p&o since 2019. Cannot believe the decline in standards. No cabin service in the evening, rationing butter in the restaurants, stained carpets, tatty furnishings, ship was permanently cold (had to wear a coat in the lounges) staff very rushed. Poor information on ports. I did inform guests service of all of the above and to be honest they weren't very ...
The only thing to say about the entertainment was that it was loud. We listened to tne full thud of it most nights in our cabin
We complained to the Dining Manager Tony ( from Croatia). Twice we told him and twice he did nothing at all. Hence the low rating
The food choice was good but with tne exception of tne street food was of a low quality. I’m not sure why I should pay extra to ...
check in was easy and took about 30 minutes to get on the ship.
We self disembarked which was also quite quick .
No wow factor on boarding the ship.
There are 3 sets of 8 lifts and you wait ages for a lift and it is often full . Maximum 8 people in each lift less if there is a mobility scooter or wheelchair and there are over 5000 guests .
Last day 12 lifts out of 24 were out of ...
We chose this cruise to have a little sunshine in January. It was the first and will most definitely be the last time on this uncomfortable vibrating cruise ship.
My wife and I have travelled in many ships over the years and P&O up to now have been our favourite cruise company.
The Iona cruise ship is big, probably too big if I’m being honest as even the calmest sea it vibrates into a ...
3 days before we sailed, we were contacted by P&O who advised us that our cabin was no longer available and gave us an ultimatum of a downgrade to inside cabin with a 50% refund or cancel our holiday. We were left with no choice but to accept the downgrade. We booked this cruise in June 23. The ship itself is in a poor state and in desperate need of a refurb. The food was substandard. We we both ...
We've sailed with P&O many times, first sailing with them back in 2011. This was the first time we were going to receive 'priority' boarding, however our embarkation time was delayed due to the requirement for the ship to be deep cleaned after a gastro intestinal disease outbreak. We arrived on time for our delayed embarkation and waited two hours outside before we were let into the terminal. We ...
Having cruised many times ith P&O we were appalled at the fall in standards. The quality, eating habits, behaviour and particularly the dress of many passengers was dreadful. On ' strictly' formal nights, passengers were allowed into the Cinnamon Restaurant iny any old attire, One man, jacketless was allowed in in just a shirt and trousers. It was even worse in the Waterside self service ...
We flew from Gatwick to Tenerife to board the ship. The transfer to the north of the island was disorganised and chaotic. We waited two hours for the coach to pick us up. Finally arrived to a filthy cabin. Used bedding, dirty and dusty throughout the cabin but for me the smelly sheets and pillows were a step too far. Dirty shower, basin, toilet-bathroom was disgusting. After I complained it was ...
The cruise was chosen as my partner had been on the ship several times before.
The fist statement I will make is the captain whilst he made the right decisions on the seaman ship of the boat a captain of a cruise linner should be more than that. Tne cruise was a 19 Day cruise in the Med. 1st 2 & 3rd day was spent in Southampton due to the weather Correct decision. But 2 ports were cancelled ...
Food repetitive in more ways than one.
Real friendly cabin with towel sharing.
Once they have you on board they don't want to let you off.
Was not informed until the ship was under way that Nova virus is running rampant throughout ship even though we spent 3 days in Southampton because of bad weather.
The Crew stud over you like we were children to make sure you wash your donnies and ...
