We booked this week long cruise on Azura as for a Special birthday celebration. Our whole experience on the cruise from start to finish was absolutely amazing.
The staff are a credit and are very helpful and polite, the wide selection of food caters for all , we ate mainly in the Main restaurant in the evening and often had breakfast and lunch at the buffet all the food was well prepared and ...
Overall a disappointing experience. It doesn’t help to have seen the ‘salami slicing’ cost saving measures affect the quality of the cruise each year, having cruised with P&O ships mainly for over 20 years. The ship is rather tired and though the cabin size and layout (superior balcony) is good, it needs a refurb. Doesn’t help that we’re not told the times of flights before choosing an airport. ...
The Azura staff from stateroom to bar staff are amazing We were served quickly wherever we went on ship and all staff were helpful and courteous. We could always find a seat in bars an theatre too.
The food for most part was delicious and being gluten free I found waiters in restaurants really helpful. Gluten free options were always marked on the menu and each night the head waiter would bring ...
Cannot fault the entire experience. From flight check in at Manchester, the TUI flight, check in for the cruise at Malta, the entire experience onboard to picking up the bags on return to Manchester airport. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. P&O's organizations was superb. Our superior deluxe cabin on deck 9 midship was immaculate throughout. It had a full size bathroom. We had an attentive steward ...
I read a number of reviews about P & O including this ship which seemed ok especially for solo travellers do decided to book.
The ship is very tired in a number of areas and in need of a refit. Cabins / bathrooms certainly things like missing grout, cracked shower trays, ineffective air conditioning. I reported my air conditioning day one, since then 3 further times now on day 12 and still not ...
We've been on the Azura on many occations. Where we fly into Malta and go on a weeks cruise around the Med. This year we visited Greece and Turkey.
We were delighted with the flight out to Malta. It only took us 25 minutes from start to finish to get flight side and the only slight delay at Malta was getting through their Border Control.
There's been a couple of changes over the last few ...
Azura would not be our first choice we prefer the tried and traditional cruise. But with flights from our local Airport and an attractive on board credit we gave it a go. The prospect of getting down to Southampton is a little daunting these days.
So opted for a 14 day Fly Cruise from Malta around the Med Taking in Greece Turkey Italy Corsica
Flight by TUI was Ok just the bare bones these ...
We cruised from Malta to Croatia, taking in Split, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Trieste.
The ship is small compared with the Iona, which is a ship we love to sail on.
The entertainment was excellent with a good variety of comedy, music, magic and movies to watch.
However, the food in the buffet was so disappointing. I spoke to other cruisers about this and many said the same and that they are ...
Just back today from our week on Azura.
The main point is we really enjoyed our cruise. As usual we met some lovely other cruisers (and a few of the other ones!). The destinations were good, the staff helpful and friendly. The shows were excellent. All in all a great cruise. Here comes the howevers.
These are all minor but they do sort of add up.
There was a shortage of ...
Just back from a one week cruise on the Azura which I booked having very much enjoyed my first P&O cruise three years ago.
I expected the same experience as last time. Sadly this did not happen.
I heard many seasoned cruisers saying that the food was poor and the service not as great. This is also my view so I spoke to a senior member of the on board management team and can now report the ...
