We wanted to visit many of the ports offered on this leg of the World cruise.
Embarkation was poorly organised as there was little room at HongKong terminal.
Our cabin was fine and what we expected ie Queen size bed,balcony and good bathroom with bath and tea making facility.There was poor hanging space in the wardrobe but we managed.

P and O offer a satisfactory standard but are confused about who their customers are.
Cheap deals do mean that there are times when the ship becomes a 'booze cruise ' ( we had some lovely but boisterous Aussie's for about a week, it was a similar story after CapeTown).

This cruise was a 20 day leg of a world cruise, from Hong Kong to Dubai and was our third cruise on Arcadia, sixth with P & O. The boarding process in Hong Kong was efficient and went very smoothly.

We have just returned from R 401 world cruise - Hong Kong to Southampton, 47 nights. I agree with others that the food varied from edible to diabolical in quality, and diabolical in quantity. We were in Medina, 2nd sitting. On lobster evenings, I was served lobster amounting to two mouthfulls. Lunches were worse. Crab Risotto had a few minute pieces of Crab Stick, not crab. Taking this cruise was a big mistake as in February both China & Japan are very cold at this time of the year, also there were 6 continuous sea days from Japan to the next port of call and warmer climate.
The ship itself is beautiful, including the balcony cabin, but there is little else to commend.
Lots of empty bars, containing bored waiters, and a few sleeping passengers.

OK, first off the good news: Arcadia is a great ship, the crew is excellent, the food is really good, the spa is brilliant, knowledgeable speakers on Asian art & astronomy etc, pretty good comedians/magicians, mediocre dance groups which seemed to rely on decibels only, destinations were OK but shore excursions were patchy.
