We had to cancel an earlier cruise on Azamara due to Covid and this was a last minute getaway. We were pleasantly surprised to be on the ship by noon considering our embarkation time was 1pm. P&O had plenty of staff at the airport and the cruise terminal. It was great that we were under cover and cool whilst waiting as temperatures were very high. The ship was clean and our room on deck 9 very ...

Inferior product (sadly)

5th time with P&O cruises (2nd time on Ventura) and the experience has gone south. Boarding at Southampton. Due to a delay to us getting onto the ship, we were sat jammed in the terminal for what felt like ages. Zero Covid precautions in place. Main dining hall. Requested a table for two at the early sitting. We were allocated a mixed table for six at the late dinner sitting. Staff really ...

Having cruised many times with P & O I was very disappointed with this cruise. Whilst I don't need my bed turned down, I would like the stewards to check if you need clean towels, they only come once a day now. Two restaurants were shut and the library due to lack of staff. They need to overhaul the shopping on board and cater for the clientele they have now who don't want really expensive ...

Sitting here bored, recovering from covid I without doubt caught On this cruise I thought I'd write a review. All good once we got over the delayed Air Malta flight. P & O well organised at airport and at registration at the dock side. Very efficient, all checked and on our way on board within minutes. Cabin, aah we took the cheaper allocated-later version, and it was excellent, C614 on ...

Average Experience

I am a fan of P&O and have cruised with them a number of times to various destinations, but this cruise was average at best and will make me consider carefully if I cruise with P&O again. We selected and booked the cruise at fairly short notice about 2 months ago, accommodation choice was limited but we were able to book a Balcony cabin. The ship exterior and public area were in very good ...

Standards dropped. Find another company.

First cruise post pandemic after 20 years of cruising with P&O. Standards dropped considerably. Food in restaurants poor with menu choices cut. Self service cafeteria choices cut. Often food was cold, and for some reason you had to ask every day for marmalade at breakfast. Sometimes you were told there was non on board and had to insist on being given some. Booked glasshouse for family ...

A continuation of last weeks cruise

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Azura

This was a two week cruise so my comments are the same as the previous week but I did wish to comment on the port visits, which in some cases were not as positive as the previous week. As I need to write more I would say that the ship was far more crowded this week, which wasn’t great. It was nice not to have wear masks this week, whether this was because the Covid cases on board had lessened or ...

Enjoyable but not the experience it was before Covid

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Azura

While the cruise was enjoyable many small things detracted from the experience. Some were no doubt due to Covid regulations but some seemed due to an economy drive such as the change from individual toiletries to large fixed dispensers with no conditioner or body lotion. Face cloths were also no longer provided. The cabin was clean and well serviced and the food was generally good, although there ...

Disappointing Mediterranean Cruise on the P&O Aurora

We were really looking forward to our cruise because it had been four years since our last cruise but due to a family bereavement and Covid, this was our first since then. The staff were amazing especially the waiters and buffet crew although some passengers thought there was nothing wrong in asking a bar waiter to walk a few hundred yards to get them a coffee from the buffet. Some people ...

Great Locations despite the strange covid rules

We'd been to Dubrovnik before and wanted to add Split and the rest of the Dalmation coast to my bucket list so we'd chosen to go on this trip a few months ago. But we didn't expect to find the lingerings of covid to have such an impact on the embarkation and with the day to day running of the ship. The TUI check in was terrible, it took 1 hour 45mins, then there was the famous Manchester ...
