We sailed from Southampton to Norway for seven days thank heaven it wasn’t longer
Ship wonderful cabin small but really good .
Staff were good worked really hard food excellent bit short on options if glutton free but still excellent
So what went wrong
Too many passengers, poor organisation selfish cruisers.
To do anything at all you have to book useing the onboard app this include ...
This was my first ever cruise. On the whole we had a very enjoyable week on Iona. She was sailing at full capacity but there were always quiet spots to be found on the ship. We enjoyed the entertainment and the food generally was good. We had an inside cabin on the 15th deck and that was absolutely fine.
My only really disappointment was around getting served a drink. We rarely drink at ...
We have cruised often with P&O but this was first time on Arvia and we booked four weeks back to back Spain/Portugal then Canaries to try it out.
Embarkation - excellent as always. Really slick operation in Southampton and a credit to P&O as always.
Hotel Info - good condition throughout. The odd blemish but maintenance worked 24/7 to keep everything shipshape.
Cabin - inside mid ships, ...
We have just returned home following a really lovely cruise on-board the Arvia and this is an attempt at providing an honest review of this beautiful ship, its facilities and staff.
If you are considering booking a cruise holiday on the Arvia, I have no hesitation in recommending it to you.
The Arvia is everything you would need for a truly memorable time.
Yes it is a very big ship with a ...
This was our 4th P & O cruise but first on Ventura. Yes things have changed since Covid and yes the ship is one of their older ones in the fleet but we had a lovely time on our 14 night Canaries trip. We had a large balcony, room was clean and tidy and bed comfortable but appreciate the balcony itself could have done with a spruce up. Service of our rooms was great with ice bucket filled ...
This was our first cruise since the pandemic having previously sailed with P&O 8 times and Celebrity cruises 5 times. Our last cruise was August 2019 on the Celebrity EDGE and this was our 3rd cruise on Britannia having sailed on her when she was new in 2015 and again in 2017. We have always had an aft cabin on Britannia in the past and this time we opted for. We had read many comments about ...
The Britannia is a good ship. Cannot fault the service. Balcony room was compact but met our needs. Balcony a little small, particularly when you want to sit there for an extended period.
Entertainment was quite good and theatre was first class but other cruise lines have had more exceptional singers and dancers. One female singer and two male dancers stood out. Limited solo and group acts. ...
Thei was out first cruise, we had a beautiful cabin with balcony. The staff were great and very attentive. All dining facilities were nice but I noticed a lack of variety of vegetables and fruit with main meals in the main dining rooms.
The destinations were great and the expeditions we went on were fantastic. The only problem was a lot of the expeditions and speciality restaurants were booked ...
We have just got back off Arvia after 2 weeks of mixed weather, the world is changing fast and probably to fast for some ,the app we found easy to use we are mid fiftys but anyone who isn't there are people to help you for the first 2 days 12 until 8 to show you ,I use a android mobile turn on flight mode and when you have done that press and hold the WiFi button until it says connected to p and o ...
I booked this cruise 3 years ago in 2020; I was meant to sail last year, however I postponed due to the covid protocols. I chose Norway as relatively affordable and having wathed some box sets in lock down (having made the Transatlantic crossing, in 2019, on the QMary with Cunard - as a big treat).
When I first got on the Iona I was slightly overwhelmed with the size of it and wondered if it ...
