Booked a balcony cabin for a trip around the canaries and up to Madeira fly cruise reasonably well organised apart from a booking for two people and a flight for only one. As this was a fly cruise booked directly with P and O it was only through my diligence that I spotted the error, four hours on the phone, trying to get through to sort very apologetic, but nothing else in response. The balcony ...
I chose to go on this cruise for many reasons.
Having sailed on Ventura several times the level of standards have dropped significantly. Entertainment wasn't too good with the exception of the Four Harps, Ben Kearsley and Morecambe and Wise tribute. The comedians were mediocre. The headliners same old with the exception of The Christmas show.
So many things have been taken away from ...
This was our first P&O cruise since 2019. I was interested to see how things compared.
We booked a saver fare balcony cabin for which we paid around £730. Our cabin was assigned about a week before and I was pleasantly surprised to get what they classed as an upgrade to a midship cabin on deck 12.
The flight was with Jet2 and was fine my husband appreciated the leg room which was more than ...
I chose this cruise as it was at the right price and offered a chance of some sun before the onset of winter.
Embarkation was very efficient and no delays from port arrival until boarding Ventura.
I requested Club dining on first sitting but was allocated freedom dining of which I dislike but I paid the Saver fare rather than Select so no complaints.
For me I always prefer to have the ...
We chose the ship for the intineraries and for the faciilites it offers and we did two single week cruises in June of this year and then in November rather than a single two week holiday. Having cruised mainly on RCI and Celebrity ships, the Azura falls short, but mostly in ways that could be remedied. The feeling we had is that P&O is a notch below the other lines in terms of service and quality. ...
Having cruised on Ventura twice, pre Covid, we thought we would sail on her again. We had read some comments on here from others stating that standards had slipped on all fronts. However, we kept an open mind.
We used the online check in and travelled down by coach. We were on the ship within twenty minutes of arriving at the terminal . Our luggage arrived outside our cabin promptly . ...
We have done 24 cruises on different lines over the years. We chose this as there were a lot of sea days and we thought there would be lots to do. Wrong. If don't you like line dancing and being given presentation on thing they are trying to sell you then you are left with little else.
The ship is simply too big and the outside spaces and pools too small.
There is a queueing system for ...
As I said in my title, you get what you pay for. The ship is getting on and looks a little faded in parts. The food is nowhere the level you would otherwise expect on a cruise. But hey, you get what you pay for. What I don't understand is why people who come on having paid a P&O price, expect a Regent Seven Seas service. This is an adult only ship which quite naturally attracts a fair amount of UK ...
I flew from Houston to London and arrived the day before the cruise. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Heathrow and would highly recommend it. This was my first time on P&O Cruises. It mainly caters to British cruisers and many of the passengers I met have only cruised P&O. Their website states that their Elegant Nights are very formal. Many of the men wore tuxes, but some wore a jacket ...
Birthday cruise. Boarded coach from Manchester Airport to Southampton. Best to be said for coach station was disorganised chaos. Eventually board coach for a pleasant journey to Southampton.
Embarkation was easy and efficient.
Found cabin which was a nice sized balcony cabin. Was quite clean (seals around shower where dirty and mouldy but cabin steward cleaned these once pointed ...
