Disappointing - too many cut-backs

Plus points: Despite size, very clean in all areas Particularly pleased with the balcony cabin and storage space. Night light very helpful and useful. Bathroom small but functional with good shower Hands-free public lavatory doors - brilliant! Very friendly and helpful crew The Captain and Officers were very pleasant and reassuring, we particularly enjoyed Captain's daily ...

Cabins and ship were stylish but many staff were withdrawn and unfriendly.

We have cruised with P&O a couple of times before and this was a fairly last-minute decision to go to Norway to see the fjords. We decided to see whether the most basic inside cabin would work for the three of us (me, husband, teenager). Firstly, the cabins look great - the decor is modern and stylish and the shower particularly is well-designed and easy to use. The sofa bed is very firm but quite ...

The cruise was booked for my wife and I to celebrate our birthdays and 30th wedding anniversary. We flew in from NI early that morning and had to wait until 2 to get on, no provision for those who have to travel that bit further.By the time we got on we found that places like the Epicurian and the Limelight Club were completely booked up and never got to experience these places. Also the theatres ...

Not as grand as expected

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Aurora

This was my 4th cruise and the most expensive. I had high hopes for this one. I've done cruises on MSC, Costa and Norwegian. I was really excited to do a classy cruise, dressing up, nice meals, exciting sea days. We even had a mini balcony suite which was gorgeous. The cruise was Italy and Croatia. The weather wasn't the best, so the ships entertainment was very much needed and this is where ...

Great cabin but wear and tear showing everywhere

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Ventura

I was going to sail on Cunard on a similar itinerary but wanted something less formal. Boarding was not great. I arrived early and despite there being no queues to board at that time, they made me wait for 2 hours, so not a good start. My cabin was great and huge but there was mildew on the tiles in the bathroom, something that can be easily cleaned, right P&O?? I chose the relaxed dining but ...

Last sailed on Britannia a couple of years ago (post pandemic) and was expecting something similar. Oh no. First the good - embarkation was smooth. The cabin (deluxe balcony) was spacious, comfortable and clean. Balcony was a good size. Room steward was polite and very helpful. Excursions and free shuttle buses were well organised (and free shuttle buses were plentiful). The ok - food was ...

Sad decline of Ventura

Retirement cruise. We had saved for this and were so disappointed at the level of decline. We have only ever cruised with P&O and ALL previous cruises have been fantastic. This one however was NOT. The cabin was not cleaned to a very good standard. No evening turndown now. The restaurant staff seem like they don’t want to be there and the food was really disappointing. Portions were ...

Over sold as modern quality

We booked this holiday as a family holiday via a travel agent who stated that this is a new ship in P&O's Fleet with quality restaurants, entertainment & experiences. They were not wrong about the experiences. We have been on other cruise ships including Brittania, Tui, and Royal Caribbean. First the ship is well laid out and modern with a lot of quality features such as mini golf, sky walk and ...

Ship too big and P and O standards have slipped

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

We chose this cruise as the dates and itinerary fitted our circumstances, however we would not choose a ship this big again unless the itinerary was fantastic. We only booked at 2 weeks notice and were very disappointed to find that most of the popular shore excursions were already sold out, and that those available cannot be bought with onboard spend allowance prior to boarding, a conversation ...

Breathtaking beautiful a must visit most people seem to give this ship 3 stars I agree with this next time I would choose a smaller ship as in too many people . Lots of great food but hard to book didn't get in some restraints drinks service a joke at times entertainment varied some very good some a little light on quality some good fun things like line dancing great walks around the decks pools ...
