Sailed on her before during Covid rules, although the ruling was a bit tedious we knew it was all for the good of us all so we just obeyed and enjoyed best we could even though those dam masks were awful as we all experienced.
We enjoyed Iona so much we though give her anther try, Much to our disappointment a total different experience, Now the ship was to Full capacity, during our last trip ...
Hearing great feedback from a few people who have done this cruise previously we decided to book a Mediterranean cruise. The cabin we stayed in had not been cleaned properly as the previous guests receipts and an Amazon envelope was left in one of the cupboards. The Buffet was really poor with watered down juices and dirty plates and cups. You would expect that after the covid pandemic and all of ...
I can't really write a review about the Iona in general as i did not get to see much of the ship though that was through my own fault.
I had a Leg Amputated in 2019 and this was the first time i had been away on holiday since Op and it was a bit of 'fact finding mission' as i use a Rollator to walk with as i am very independent but turned out to be exhausting using it all day so didn't get to ...
I read a number of reviews about P & O including this ship which seemed ok especially for solo travellers do decided to book.
The ship is very tired in a number of areas and in need of a refit. Cabins / bathrooms certainly things like missing grout, cracked shower trays, ineffective air conditioning. I reported my air conditioning day one, since then 3 further times now on day 12 and still not ...
This is the second time on the Britania, first trip being seven years ago. We really enjoyed our first trip. We still have two nights remaining of our second visit, we can't wait to get home!!!!!!!
We purchased two drinks packages at £479 each. On arriving for our first drinks, I asked for a double Glenmorangie for my wife, I was informed we can only have a single and only one drink every ...
We have sailed with P&O several times on Arcadia and Azura and always enjoyed ourselves. There is usually a good speaker programme, quirky things to do and see (vegetable carving!), bring lessons and sessions on sea days and generally good food. We chose this cruise for the itinerary - going to places we hadn't been to before. It was obvious when we met our cabin steward that things had changed ...
The only positive thing to say is that we reached our destinations and had a lovely time when not on board.
The entertainment mainly focused on children with any adult entertainment fully booked and not able to accommodate all.
Freedom dining - restaurants overbooked and if you get a pager to tell you when you can dine in the restaurant they go out of range so you have no idea when a space ...
To give this review context I have sailed with P&O many times over 20 years and the same with many other brands, I have lots of different experience of how things are done onboard. I’m disappointed to say that I have one more cruise booked with P&O (which is a FCC) and then I will not be sailing with them again. If you are new to cruising my complaints may seem trivial but if like me you are ...
Chose this cruise as the dates were correct for me and cruise went from Southampton
bear in mind this is my experience and views only but the following issues made it the worst cruise I have ever had
1. Single Balcony Cabin - was like a cupboard - too small and badly laid out
cleaning of the cabin was not good especially the bathroom - shower not cleaned properly
unable to change this ...
The food was raw
Our cabin got flooded out we paid a extra £2500 for that room so they moved us to a different room what had a big overhang above it so no sun and they wouldn’t even reimburse the £2500 I paid to pick the room we paid £12500 for the cruise
Very few staff could speak English
No trays or cups in the buffet
Boat smells full of rust
Cabin was discussing smelt of ...
