Lovely cruise, did our own tours with the locals, P&O tours far too expensive in my opinion. Lovely food, good entertainment in headliners. Couple of acts not so good, but we all like different things. Piped music far to loud on deck and in live lounge, no chance of having a conversation with fellow guests. I think a charge of £25 to watch Gareth Gates and Madeliene Bell in the Limelight Club ...

I am writing this review as a counter balance to some of the negative comments I have read from other members. For circa £3.5k we were flown by Thomson Dreamliner to Barbados and embarked Britannia with no customs formalities and no hassle. The ship itself is beautiful, the staff very friendly, the cabins clean and adequate and the food of a generally high standard. We visited some great places, ...

Two weeks in the Caribbean 3-17th December 2016 Prior to going on our cruise I briefly looked on the Cruise Critic site and was surprised to see that Britannia only had a 53% approval rating from previous guests however I quickly disregarded this as I have read terrible ship reviews on this site in the past and yet went on to have a wonderful cruise on the same ship being disparaged. I ...

We are experienced cruisers in our 60's, first time on a P&O ship. Being able to choose a direct flight to the Caribbean avoiding the USA was very appealing with no worries about our luggage was heaven. We choose to book with a Cruise Specialist rather than direct with P&O gaining a significant discount also upgrading our flights to Premium Economy. The Thomson flights to/fro Gatwick were ...

To begin with, it’s only fair to say that all things considered, our time with the P&O Azura on this 15 night Caribbean cruise was good. The crew, accommodation, facilities and entertainment were excellent. The restaurant food was most agreeable, however, it took us four days to get the freedom dining that we wanted. Initially, we had been assigned a late sitting, fixed table with fellow diners ...

This was our ( with my wife) first cruise on P and O and only our second overall. We had a balcony cabin towards the rear of the ship . It was fairly good; I have been in smaller hotel rooms in London and Paris! The bed was great and i can honestly say I had 14 great sleeps. Overall the ship was good and has been well commented on . In particular we loved the Glass House, where the range of ...

Always wanted to go to the Caribbean, having sailed with P&O to the med on the Ventura we were looking forward to this trip, so myself and family (1 14 year old son, partner and father went) We sailed from Southampton, the crossing to Port Delgarda (Portugal) was very rough, it took 4 sailing days to get there. Porta Delgarda was a welcome piece of land! It still was not hot. I think people ...

Very Enjoyable Cruise

I'm astonished that it appears that over half of Britannia's passengers appear to have endured an unpleasant experience. Either their standards are infinitely higher than mine (possible) or they are more sensitive to disappointment (equally possible). I've seen the decor complained about - others found it pleasing. I've seen the food complained about - others enjoyed it. I've seen the ...
