We wanted to visit Madeira and Lisbon so we chose this canary island cruise and booked one year in advance. The sailing was smooth and the cabins were of a reasonable size. The ship was in good condition and clean. The problem was that there were too many people and this made it very difficult to get into a lift.We were on level 11 so needed the lift. This meant waiting a long time to find space in ...

Decided to try a cruise from southampton. Embarkation very good disembarkation exceptionally good. This ship does not have any wow factor and appeared to be a little bit on the dull side with decor and is quite bland. The cabins are functional but the bathroom area is the smallest we have ever used on any ship as when you step out of the shower to dry yourself it is a tight space and on this ...

Hi, Hopefully you will not be board by the length of this but felt it would be useful to give some hits and misses for the cruise I have just been on. The sea was a little rough on the way to the Canaries which personally I think is ok - sick bags were at the ready on the stairs and hallways! It was sad to hear over the tannoy of so many medical emergencies. One was at about 11:30 on the ...

Our 3rd cruise on Britannia and our 11th cruise with P&O. Britannia is a superb ship and provides the best facilities of any ship in the P&O fleet. Cabins are more modern, with lovely bathrooms (including glass shower doors, not clingy curtains) and superb large screen HD fully interactive TV's with lots of free 'on demand' movies. We find the Epicurean to be the best restaurant at sea ...

I chose this particular cruise as it was a no fly cruise and also wanted to experience P&O's flagship Britannia, embarkation was very smooth having already learnt not to get there early i arrived spot on the time advised, upon entering the ship we came straight into the atrium which was a sight to behold, but things were not so great from there on. As this was a last minute booking our room was ...

EMBARKATION In 2010 i went on celebrity eclipse and i think the memory of how good and quick embarkation is probably ruins how i feel about p&o i remember parking the car and within 20 minutes being on the ship yes the cabins arn't ready but you can go into the main public areas with p&o this time i go there at 12 and was made to wait until 2pm they sent me a boarding time of 3.30pm which seems ...

Returned from 14 nights aboard Britannia West Med Embarkation ( 1 hr ) and Disembarkation ( 2hr ) went as well as one can expect and considering 3000 people to sort time on Disembarkation was more due to the fact you asked to leave room at 8am and waited till 09.15am at an area on ship till given instructions to leave. Rooms vary on board depending what your requirements are. We opted for a ...

Just returned from a 14 night cruise around the Med on Britannia, celebrating my birthday with my close family. Wish i could say what a fabulous ship she is, but i am left feeling somewhat disappointed that most of the time i was bored! I am surprised that a ship boasting to be a family ship has very little "family" activities to participate in, however if you want time away from the children the ...

My husband and I have just returned from our two week cruise in the Med on Britannia. This was our first time sailing with Britannia and our first time embarking from Southampton. We found it difficult to find the correct dock as the postcode given in the information pack directed us to another area of the port and we had to ask several times for the correct directions. The embarkation ...

We also travelled to the Baltic Capitals on Britannia in June 2015 (14 days) and although some of the many niggles have been sorted, we were still not impressed second time around. This was our 4th cruise this year and we are seasoned cruisers. Our cabin was in the mid ship area and we suffered badly due to the lack of a staircase above level 7, therefore the lifts are very busy and often full ...
