Great ship great crew let down by the food
"The really big thing that let the ship down and the reason I’ll not take another p&o cruise again was the food.Perhaps p&o should stop bringing in old fresh frozen from thousands of miles away and use British fish caught just down the road...."Read More

Britannia did not disappoint - Madeira, Lisbon & Lanzarote were superb

Thank you to P& O Britannia. We have wanted to visit the Canary islands and Madeira for a while. This cruise fulfilled our expectations. We have sailed to the Caribbean before on Britannia a few years ago and wondered if the standards had slipped, due to some of the negative reviews. You need not fear, our experience was delightful. I am amazed at how some people can moan so much when we were on ...

Underwhelming

Just returned from the 14 day canary island cruise on Britannia. I am sorry to say it was the worst cruise I have ever been on culminating in four days of food poisoning. The ship is dirty and run down, there are stains on the carpets almost everywhere you look and the food in the Peninsula restaurant was bland, tasteless and repetitive. Our cabin was small and in common with the rest of the ship, ...

Chose this cruise after not being able to have a holiday together for the last five years due to work. It was highly anticipated and looked forward to. It became obvious as soon as we arrived in Southampton to load our luggage on board this was not the same attitude we had received when sailing five years ago on the Arcadia. Not being sure where to place our luggage, Asking the question of a ...

We chose this cruise because it went from Southampton, we are not happy to fly at present. Embarkation was an absolute breeze. The ship looks fantastic a real gem. Every member of staff you meet smiles and goes out their way for you they really do emphasise customer service particularly Joseph in the atrium bar he was just omg far to good at looking after everyone. The layout of the ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Britannia

I read all the reviews before deciding on a holiday so only fair that I should leave my own objective review. This trip was our first time on Britannia and we had a fantastic trip. The food choices were really good, we ate normally in the Oriental restaurant and were very well looked after with the waiters always offering more if we wanted it or to change things if they though we weren't keen. We ...

Second time on Britannia

After a lumpy Bay of Biscay crossing, the rest of the cruise was excellent. The ship was going into dry dock at the end of this cruise for a spruce up. We had sailed on Britannia before so we knew our way round the ship. The lifts are still a bit of a problem, mainly as at either end of the ship they are smaller and often full at busy times. Considering the wear she has had, I thought she ...

This was our first cruise and chose the Britannia because of mainly good reviews and being mainly British.. It certainly lived up to our expectations food was fantastic we chose the dine around and it does take a bit of getting used to.. in the second week we actually preferred to go to the horizon buffet especially for breakfast you could just take your time and relax.. It definitely took us a ...

This was our first cruise(2 adults 2 children) Slightly nervous before as never sailed before but I nee-dent have worries at all! Britannia is such a beautiful magnificent ship! We visited all around the Canary Islands. All staff were on hand when getting on/off the ship. Security was super good. We felt safe the whole time. Weather was magnificent as well. Embarkation The car drop off takes 40 mins waiting in the car, this is a poor parking system, we were told it is a holding pattern so not to block gate entrance, but no other dock in Southampton does it this way and the fast drop off at other terminals works fine. Maybe we arrived at the worst time @14:10, but the tickets told us to arrive for 14:30 and no more than half an hour ...

Worst cruise I've ever been on.

I chose this cruise to get a little bit of sun, rather than sit at home watching the rain. This being my third time on Azura, I thought I knew what to expect. Embarkation went smoothly, and I was in my cabin swiftly. I noticed that the plug in the basin was closed, and I wondered why. It didn't take me long to find the answer. I was on deck fourteen, but when I went to decks six and seven, THE ...
