First and last with P&O

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Arvia

This was a family holiday for my husband's 60th birthday. The farce started even before we set sail when they delayed the ship coming over from the Mediterranean by 2 weeks, which meant we weren't on holiday for my husband's birthday, which was really annoying. I had booked seats on the flights each way through the P&O site and I had to book and pay for a seat for my 7 month old grandson. I ...

So, let do an honest review with some suggestions. To the positives: boarding - very smooth process, straight off plane, out back gate of airport to ship, into reception area and on ship within 10 minutes. Key cards to cabin are outside of cabin. Really good system Cabin - balcony, good size, very clean, no complaints Food - Good selecion, English Breakfast is amazing as are other meals, ...

Ship too big, staff not trained, food disappointing

We were on this cruise to meet a friend for his 60th birthday. We have been on many different Caribbean cruises with other companies and this was our first (and will be our last) experience with P&O. On the positive side, the organisation around flight departures and transfers was excellent and there unfortunately the good news ends. Our first impression on boarding the ship was one of size ...

Never again with P&O

Currently still cruising and on our last two days in the Carribean, have cruised with P&O since 2010, this is our final time with them. The take it our leave it attitude is awful, make a complaint and no-one follows up on it, cancel trips at a moments notice because of not enough uptake by passengers so it's not worth their while running... never mind the customer who is looking forward too and ...

Vibrations in cabin and not enough to do

This was our first time on Britannia, and our first transatlantic, with a few days in the Caribbean first. It was our fourth P&O cruise since cruising restarted after the pandemic. We are usually big fans of P&O but this is the first time I’ve left a negative review. In hindsight, an eastbound transatlantic wasn’t a good choice, but there were other disappointments, and we didn’t get the cruising ...

Covid Cruise - P&O allow passengers onto ship riddled with Covid!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Azura

We chose this cruise (Barbados to Malta) because it seemed like the cruise of a lifetime & ship pictures were lovely. We understandably had a PCR test and an airport antigen test before leaving the UK (Gatwick) to create a 'Covid bubble' i.e. only allowed to travel if results negative. This made us feel safe. We got onboard on the evening of 18th March and the ship seemed to live up to ...

Mislead & Lied To About Covid & Numbers In Quarantine

Choose this cruise in 2020 as liked the itinerary and the idea of crossing Atlantic. Unknown to the joining 500 in Barbados on 18 & 19 March the ship already had Civif amongst guests who had finished Caribbean sector, the Crew especially waiting staff etc and booked Entertainment. Getting to ship however was like the Crystal Maze. Totally understand P&O wanting to create a safety bubble of guests ...

Worst cruise out of the 30 we have done!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Britannia

We chose this cruise because of the Covid safety measures (Brits only) and the itinerary. We were so disappointed. The standard of food at night in the main dining room was bland and poorly executed. I would class it as 2-3*. Breakfast was fine, we only ate breakfast in the dining rooms and did not use the buffett. We had a few meals in the Glass House, this was a big improvement but should you ...

Appalling smell

Several previous cruises with P&O. This one ruined - not because of the cancelled port visits (due to the current virus panic) which the captain handled well - but because the ship stank of sewage. We had paid for a good midship balcony cabin but could not use the balcony because of the constant vile stench of sewage. Public rooms and the promenade deck midship also stank of sewage. It ...

A Tired Ship, Dreadful Music

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Azura

We did the same cruise last year, when it was somewhat better. This ship is going in for refurbishment and it certainly needs it. The cabin toilet failed on four days, we had to seek puiblic toilets. The carpets are tired and stained, the drawers stick and were difficulat to open and close. The cabin steward was excellent. The entertainment was appalling. Far, far too loud and much too young for ...
