This was our first cruise on one of the larger cruise ships and we were both a little apprehensive despite the fact that I had been on the ship lots of times as part of the Intercruises disability team. This did give me the advantage of knowing my way around and what the cabins were like etc. we both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and have already booked to go back on IONA next ...
One experience was excellent from embarkation to leaving this wonderful ship. The standard inside cabin was spacious and very well designed. Very comfy bed and plenty of storage.
Food was excellent in the horizon buffet, The Quays and in the main dining rooms. The Chefs table was delicious and highly recommended.
All the staff were pleasant and eager to please. We waited no longer than 10 ...
I love Norway but have never been in September so we gave it a try. The ship is huge it has to be the largest we have ever been on but did not feel overcrowded.
We had an inside cabin on deck 9 near the front and we had rough seas 1 night but I slept right through it. The cabin had everything we needed and it was nice to have a shower door instead of a curtain and was kept spotlessly clean by ...
Iona is a beautiful vessel, very opulent and spotlessly clean everywhere. Staff are incredibly friendly and hard working. Our cabin was perfectly laid out and comfortable. All facilities are excellent and easy to use. You don’t even need to take your own towels to the pools!
Very spacious public areas. Dining is incredible with so much choice and great portion sizes. Nice to have a choice of ...
We are currently onboard the Iona and after our disappointing 1st cruise,I feel almost like we're on a different ship.
We are regular cruisers usually Celebrity Silversea,Princess and Windstar.
This is my first review to feedback to P&O
The standard of the food is so so much improved. Hot plates, tasty food,a lot of creativity and really interesting menus. The MDR so far has been ...
My first cruise. Arriving at the Dock from thier you are directed ro the next stage. The flow was quick and easy with no hitches. Once on board again staff are on hand to direct you to your muster station and cabin.
We had booked for twin beds and our room was a double, but staff very quickly sorted it out.
Due to a medical emergency we were delayed 4 hours waiting for a NHS ambulance, so ...

Just back from a week in the Fjords on the stunning Iona. Our embarkation time was 1pm and our daugther's was 3pm. We were all in the buffet having lunch st 12.05. So no complaints about boarding! The ship had approx 5k guests but did not feel crowded. The open spaces and floor to ceiling windows, across the 3 decks of the atrium, gave a spacious feel. Plenty of space around the ship. However ...
Seven of us wanted to see the fjords. Because a single cabin is expensive 3 of us shared a cabin. We had 3 adjoining cabins, all with conservatory and balcony. Our cabin steward, Johanna, was very good and helpful, and she unlocked the 2 balcony 'connecting doors' so that our 3 cabins had one long balcony. Our cabin had 2 beds and a sofa bed and altho P & O have now stopped the evening steward ...
We were a family of 7 and had two inside cabins next door to each other, myself, my husband and the two children in one and the older ones in the other these were more than adequate for what we needed which was a bed to sleep in, our steward John was great always very friendly and cheerful.
I have read some of the reviews on here and it makes me wonder what these people expect or what cruise ...
