Although the ports that we managed to call at were okay, the ship itself was abysmal. (Oslo for two very cold days. Copenhagen for two days (badly organised transfer that should have made two stops in order for people to visit The Little Mermaid and Art museum. And one out of two days in Amsterdam. No Zeebrugger because of the weather.)
A return to Southampton would have been a better idea than ...
Note: I have copied this verbatim from other social media sites where I have posted. Partly because it is tedious to retype the same words but also because it still makes me angry to relive the experience.
I should start by saying this was our first ever cruise so we have nothing to compare it to and it was a 10 day Baltic cruise on Arcadia.
In fact that doesn’t matter because this cruise ...
We chose to sail Arcadia for the first time having sailed on Azura and Britannia. Was also our first ever cold cruise. Their were too many areas of complaint. Better to read the other reviews for details. In a nutshell the experience was not what we expected. As much as the staff tried their best the standard of food and drink on what should of been a showcase Christmas cruise from P&O was so ...
Chose this cruise because it was new and read a lot of P&O pre publicity about the ship. Total disappointment as there are simply too many people on board. Constant queues around the ship for most of the restaurants, waiting times for drinks in the bar totally unacceptable. You have to “virtual queue” for a table in the main restaurants, in our case at one time had to wait 1 hour for a table. Even ...
What a disappointment that we missed the last stop of our Norweigan fjord cruise, on Thursday.
Sadly, for P & O the passengers who we spoke to around the ship were not impressed and didn't believe our captain's story of the imperative part that needed to be flown in from Italy that would mean we missed our last stopover... We then, had two more sea days, making it a total of 4 days at sea on a ...
I have cruised many times over the years, and P&O are the worst I have ever experienced. They missed ports due to “bad weather” when it was 20 degrees and sunny with no wind, the food was appalling as was the entertainment - three of whom told us that it was their first time ever performing on a cruise ship.
Food - usually there are several included restaurants, a buffet that serves a large ...
to visit fjords any port but where you booked and paid for blame approaching storms that never were there GPS proof
this ship is an open corridor in every eaterie
traveled on many cruises with many lines this is the worst. need to write this on here p&o do not reply
first and last with them
we had 4400 passengers onboard details from reception at the time of sailing this ship was ...
The only good thing I can say about this cruise is the quality of the food.
We had the ultimate drinks package - should be renamed the very restrictive drinks package. The glass house didn’t serve a decent wine within the meagre price of £6.99 and unlike other cruise companies who charge the difference between the allowance price and the listed price P&O charge the full price less 20%. Fever ...
The food already is much poorer with worse options for vegans veggies and gluten free folk than the Britannia a few years ago. Portions smaller in the restaurant. Just feels like they are cutting back to catch up after covid.
I hope it improves but noticing little things where they are cutting corners that makes me unlikely to book again on P and O unless I see this improving in other reviews. ...
Went on 7 day cruise on Iona.
Several locations within the ship had a muggy warm feel, did not feel like the air conditioning was working properly.
All over the ship people were coughing and everybody called it the "dreaded a/c/ cough.
After two days returning from the cruise 3 of our party of 4 tested positive for covid.
This has put me off having another cruise.
Not enough lifts ...
