Needs a complete re think on many of its services. Did a P&O 8 years ago and wasn't impressed but tried again to see how things have improved.
Sadly I am unable to give a good review. Cabins are ok but if you don't put your sign on the door it won't be cleaned.. its apparently policy that staff can't go and clean unless you put a sign on your door... anyway.. you only get hand-wash, shower ...
Wetherspoons at sea. First cruise with p&o since 2019. Cannot believe the decline in standards. No cabin service in the evening, rationing butter in the restaurants, stained carpets, tatty furnishings, ship was permanently cold (had to wear a coat in the lounges) staff very rushed. Poor information on ports. I did inform guests service of all of the above and to be honest they weren't very ...
I’ve been cruising before with Royal Caribbean and couldn’t wait to try out Iona.
For a newly built ship, I’m surprised how tired it is already looking, but then with the hoards of families and kids abusing it every week I guess it is no surprise.
I would avoid a cabin on deck 9 if you have a balcony - the promenade right outside means people can look in, especially if you have a hot tub ...
Chose this wonderful Norwegian Fjords cruise to enjoy with my mum and husband. Turned into a disastrous experience with husband suffering from food poisoning and being cabin bound for 5 days of his holiday. The response on board from restaurant manager was diabolical, no accountability being taken for making a passenger ill and denied this could even be possible. The cabin staff worked very hard ...
P & O Aurora awful
This is very hard to write, considering our last cruise to Norway on Iona I gave 5 Stars as it was an amazing experience. We both had such high hopes and were so happy to be returning to P&O. However reality did not match expectations.
Our trip to Germany and Belgium started going bad on the first night, when we discovered we were sleeping next door to a Rhino. Her ...
I chose this cruise after sailing on P & O Iona. The ship was nice and the food was acceptable. Unfortunately I believed the standard of the food would the same in Brittania. How wrong I was! The same pre-prepared slop was served up almost daily. There was hardly any fresh fruit and no tempting displays of any sort of food which was very repetitive. I have no criticism of my balcony cabin however ...
Chose this ship after going on Iona which was OK but Brittania is by far the worst ship I have ever had the misfortune of being on. Bad attitude from many crew members but the worst part is the food. Low quality slop served every day which is more than disappointing. If you want a nice cruise with good quality food give this ship a very wide bearth. Disgusting food every day. Tasteless desserts, ...
Food awful and you have to fight for it. All restaurants are booked via an app which wants you to eat at 5-6pm. When you actually get a table after pushing unfriendly staff- it is functional but not good.
Cabin- dont bother with the bidding for an upgrade. I did and am convinced this was worse than our original cabin.
We have been on a number of cruises and would never return to P&O. One ...
First and last cruise we will ever go on absolute nightmare! Greedy people rude people can I get off now ! Can’t get in any of the nicer restaurants for breakfast or dinner because all the expert sad cruisers have booked on the stupid app! This is nightmare of a system as they book and don’t turn up wasting valuable spaces ! So we have to go to the buffet ( fight club we’ve nicknamed it !) push ...
I go on a cruise pretty much every other year. I have been on Royal Caribbean, Tui and P and O cruises previously. This year my friends suggested going on a P and O cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. I had been on a similar cruise with P and O in 2014 on the Azura, and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, that cruise was with 5 people and we were planning to be a party of 10. The Iona is a much larger ...
