Pacific Jewel was in dry dock in Singapore and had Pantry put in place of the Plantations, replaced astro turf on top decks, Pandora store installed, unsure of what else. This was our 3rd trip on the Jewel, last trip few months previous and was happy with the food and entertainment etc back then. Main change was the Pantry - It looks nice ( apparently lost over 100 seats with fitting from ...

I have done quite a few cruises with P&O and it may be my last. The embarkation process in Fremantle, Perth was excellent however both the embarkation and disembarkation process throughout the remainder of the cruise was absolutely appalling and so disorganised to the point wher some passengers missed their shore tours. The dining options - buffet (deck 12) or Waterfront restaurant (deck 7) or ...

I was really looking forward to this S.E. Asia cruise for such a long time but was disappointed with the overall service, meals, activities and entertainment not to mention that my cabin steward threw out all my medications and other medical supplies for 6 weeks on day 2 of the cruise as I was doing back to back cruises to and from Singapore (I have since been compensated for this incident). The ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

This was our first cruise was a little unsure what to expect, but from the moment we arrived at the Terminal were treated exceptionally well. Upon arriving at our oceanview cabin a room steward appeared and happily brought our luggage into the cabin and explained everything about the cabin and ship. We found the staff and crew on board were the friendliest people on earth, always smiling and ...

I am an experienced traveler though not an experienced cruiser. Let me say firstly that the cruise ex Fremantle to Geraldton, Broome, Lombok, Bali and Komodo was fantastic value for money. What I would have liked is to pay more to GET more. Its best described in star rating. Accomodation 2 star. (went 12 nights without a fridge in my cabin. Everyday I was told it was getting fixed. Food 4 ...

Better than Expected; Pity About the Tenders

Would we travel again with P&O? No, not to any place that requires tenders, until they fix their process. Only average rating due to tenders. On booking our TA warned that its not the same level as our previous trip on Voyager of Seas. We chose this trip due to new to us ports & other family going. Embarkation was smooth & quick for us, as we had a suite we could fast pass the queues. ...

Even for a budget cruise, this was pretty bad.

P&O Feedback: Indonesia 25th March – 7th April 2015 Cabin number 6147 Where to begin? I’ll try the positives first: • Most of the crew were (as usual) very helpful and welcoming, offering that feeling of welcome and belonging which we have come to expect with P&O. This applied especially to the wait staff in the Waterfront restaurant; we had the same table for dinner most evenings ...

Like the curate's egg -- good in parts

We booked the cruise on a whim ... from an email with prices just too good to ignore. Then we looked at Cruise Critic reviews. Hmmmmm ... We determined we were going to enjoy ourselves, no matter what. We went for the cruise itself, rather than the destinations. It wasn't an auspicious start, I must admit. Fremantle Passenger Terminal was a schemozzle; chaos reigned supreme. Despite booking a ...
