We sailed out of Melbourne on a 'Tastes of Tasmania' Cruise on 15 January 2024 for 5 nights. Pacific Explorer is a beautiful ship with lots of lovely public spaces, so we had no issue on that front. We chose this cruise because it departed from Melbourne where we have relatives Pacific Explorer is rusty and shabby on the outside but bright and cheerful inside. We have been on a couple of P&O Cruises and realise it is a budget cruise line but feel it has gone down another notch.Compared to other cruises there seem to be more passengers and less public space which made the cruise hectic rather than relaxing.
