this cruise was amazing, coming with one side of the family it was a fantastic trip. Everyone was always occupied and the activities couldn't have been better. There were lots of shows to watch and parties to go to. Our room was a bit small, but our room stewards couldn't have been better. Every day there were great activities on for the whole family, which varied from White parties to Gatsby dance classes. The food in the pantry was pretty good, but could have been better if there was a bigger range. The pizza restaurant on level 8 served amazing food, and so did Dragon Lady (level 5), the only disappointing part was that it cost more to eat at these places. Our cruise travelled to Noumea, Maré, Lifou and Isle of Pines. This trip had been going smoothly until day 6 when the weather in Maré was miserable, as it was raining all day, when we reached Isle of Pines the following day (the last island) we were told that we weren't going to be getting off the ship due to the swell. The rocking of the boat was definitely noticeable throughout most of the trip but sailing with P & O Pacific Explorer was great!. Read Less

First cruise and I was terrified due to negative reviews on here. Our review...well we are now hooked....an amazing cruise. We ate everywhere...enjoyed it all. The ships crew are constantly cleaning to keep the ship presentable. The entertainment is amazing. Attend as much as possible. All incredibly enjoyable especial the Maquee live shows. Entertainment crew hilarious Mathew Dom Pablo Miguel etc. We had the smaller cheaper cabins which were perfect for our budget and needs....hot showers were amazing. Many reviews complained about the interior being old....well I'm no spring chicken either any more but it's how you present yourself and this ship is no different....the decor is gorgeous. We did a few pacific Islands and pre booked our tours through the ship and had a great time being emersed in the culture and saw some amazing scenery. All our kids 3-17 attended kids clubs Turtle cove HQ and HQ+ and loved it experience. We also had EDGE packages. These were prepaid great for 7-25yrs. Our adults would probably pay per session next time as didn't get the value from pre purchasing. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for your passion to serve. Sad to see you retiring but hope to travel again with P&O and see some familiar faces. Read Less

On the 28th December 2018 we embarked on a New Years cruise with P&O (the prices for this particular cruise were double if not triple normal prices due to the time of year). The dramas started when we paid for priority checkin however our tickets did not list this, it wasnt such a big issue, however at the time we didnt know this was just the start of the many issues we would experience. First day on the cruise one of our suitcases never arrived to our room, after calling reception we were told to wait and they will contact us back once they have tracked it down. 1.5 hours later sitting in our room waiting for a call back we called receiption to find our bag was there and we could come down and collect it. CABINS The first 3 days at sea were rough (with approx 6 foot waves) which is not uncommon however the front of the boat was particulary bad and majority of the time we could not be in our rooms due to the severity of the movement. Now to give you some background prior to this cruise we were on another cruise with RC which was in the middle of a cyclone with 8 foot waves and had little to no issues with our room which was also located at the front of the boat so it seems this particular boat with P&O may of not be of the same standard mechanically. Our room was on level 11 (pool 12 and pantry 14) which was a great location however levels 5,6,7 are also great as they are close to bars , reception and shops. Cabins were clean and liveable however they do not reflect the standard you would expect when paying a minimum $6k a couple (interior room) on new years. They are the original cabins and corner rooms are particulary smaller. If you are particular with pillows make sure you take your own as they are not the best. The rooms do have a safe and fridge and a great little sensor light for night time toilet trips. They also only have 1 australia power point , 1 european power point and 1 US power point. The rooms do have a hair dryer however they are very basic. Overall we were fine with our rooms however during our trip the toilet blocked up , lost all power and lights in our room at 12am in the morning and also had issues with the door locks not recognising our cards. A special mentionto the room attendents who do an amazing job , are very fast and are friendly. FOOD Not to bad, same as most cruise boats. We liked lukes , dragon lady and the cafe for cakes and tea. We love how P&O have set up the pantry as it stops alot of food being touched by other guests and limits food waste. Special mention to 400 grandi , great food , amazing staff and a nice quiet place on the ship. STAFF We were extremly lucky to experience great staff at the ocean bar , the cafe and 400 grandi. They are extremly helpful and accomodation. ENTERTAINMENT For a New Years cruise entertainment was limited however for a standard cruise it was not bad. Love riot was a great show (approx $15 per person) it was well worth it. Please note P&O seem to limit any adult only shows for 9pm and 10pm at night which wasnt always the best if you have a port day the next day. Please note lawn bowls and slides are not open permently only certain hours. PORT DAYS / TENDERS For locations with a port it was very simple and quick to get off and well organised. For ports which required tenders it became a bit of a mess and for one of our ports we waited 1.5 hours and then gave up getting off. Some people waited over 2 hours to get off and no explanation was given. After speaking to people who were lucky to get off we found guests on the beach kept snorkeling in the tender lanes which would then hold up the boats. P&O didnt seem to get these people out of the water or issues warnings to causing delays for other guests and some guests didnt even get off. SHORE TOURS We were lucky enough to do a great snorkelling tour in Santo which was well worth the money. However the couple we were travelling with did a village tour on another island and it was nothing like the tour summary and they did not learn anything from it. GUESTS Possibly some of the worst behaviour I have seen. Many of the guest were extremly rude , self centred , would push past or push in lines and we even experienced guests permently calling our room at 1am even though they were told they were calling the wrong room. Kids where still running around after 9pm and would often fill up the lifts or press all buttons inthe lifts. Our last morning there were kids outside our cabin door screaming at 5am with parents who did not care (our room was out of the way). The experience which really sent us over the edge was this one lady which we had to ask 4 times to move so we could sit down on the first day and book restaurants. We then had to ask her another 6 times to move so we could get up from our seat. I also experienced a lady at the gym who proceeded to push pass me and tell me she was waiting for a tredmill and she was next in line..... mind you i had been on the equipment for a good 5 mins before she appeared from somewhere having a cry. Please note the gym gets packed out and runs out of room and equipment duringthe mornings. Overall terrible behaviour and this doesnt even go into the fights , yelling and crappy comments we heard being shouted between guests and at the poor staff. LEAVING THE BOAT You are told to put your bags outside your room between 4pm and 8pm the night prior. Please note no where do they say you can self assist and take your own bags off but you can do this and it will get you off the boat faster. We got off the boat at 740am (we were told 720am for group 1 and 2). When we finally got off to collect our bags, our bags where not out yet and we had to wait atleast 30-40mins for our bags to come through. If you are being picked up or have a flight please keep this in mind. LIFOU If you are travelling to Lifou please note you need a ticket for jinek bay. If you do not get a ticket you will not be able to snorkel. Even though this is plastered everywhere we watched many people ignore this and walk in 30 degrees heat to the bay to then be disappointed. Sailed the lovely Pacific Explorer. The choice of ship wasn't our main concern, it was the right time and going to the somewhere other than Melbourne winter. We stayed in Sydney the night before and stayed at the Rendezvous Hotel Sydney The Rocks. The location is perfect, right near the OPT and literally a downhill walk to the terminal. Could not fault the hotel. The embarkation went smoothly, keep to the time allotted and you won't have a problem. Disembarkation was quick, so quick we ended up disembarking earlier than allocated. Once again keep to you allocated time and you won't have a problem. The ship is beautiful, well layed out. We loved everything and l don't have a bad thing to say about our cruise, (unsual to hear l know) personally we go with an objective of having a great time and thats what we had. The service was very good and as always they do a terrific job of running a huge ship with thousands of passengers. Why would you complain when everything is handed to you, no cooking, no cleaning and being waited on! So don't listen to all the bad reviews you hear. Everything will not be perfect their will always be something that you can find fault with but overall it was dam good. The ship tendor process to the islands was absolutely faultless, l have been on many that you have to wait around, but for some reason Pacific Explorer have this running smoothly. On every occassion we pretty much walked straight onto the tender. Food was great as well, so much choice and l love the way they have redesigned the pantry. We dined at the pantry for dinner as well as breakfast. It was great having a choice of foods (mexian, italian, fish n chips, curries, asian, roasts etc). We dined at Angelo's and Waterfront restuarant which were also good (free) We dined at 400 Gradi which was superb. (chargeable) but so much cheaper than if you dined at this resturant off ship. We have done 10 cruises before this, all small expensive boutique cruises. It was time for a short break and in desperation booked on the Aria for a seven night cruise. All the negative reviews and media did not help our stress levels, but we needed a quick break. We were in for a massive surprise. Our balcony suite was really nice, all the staff friendly and helpful. Entertainment was great. We loved the food. Salt is a must. Dragon Lady and Angelos were also good. My favorite was the Pantry. I used to grab a plate and walked around picking my favorite bit from every stall. Waterfront is average to good. Only one negative, if you like your eggs perfect its going to be hit and miss. The ship is very accessible for the disabled and there were heaps of people in wheelchairs having a great time like all the others. We only had a long queue to get on the ship, but its the same as when we fly international. This is mainly due to people not following their embarkation times and showing up whenever they want to. The one other issue raised in the past is the ship not catering for smokers. This is not true anymore as deck 12 has a great spot high up for the smokers with the Dome Bar just inside to grab a cocktail. We had 100km/h winds and 6 meter swells on the way back from Vanuatu. The ship coped magnificently with only a small amount of rolling and pitching considering the weather. (I am an ex naval officer who has spend a lot of time at sea in different ships and atrocious conditions.) All in all it was the best value holiday we ever had. We will be back. Read Less

Why can't their be an area that is not focused on alcohol. What ever happened to family dance night where there is no bar or alcohol involved. As a family we love all activities. We paid for the gold tickets for the adventure park and our children couldn't use their tickets because the adventure park office didn't open until the third day of cruising. We have one adult daughter, three teenaged youth and one under 12 child. We don't drink neither do our children. We participated in all the dress up parties but they were overcrowded. If you had children you had to sit it out because they couldn't come join in the fun it's not appropriate to have alcohol around them. Every floor had a bar and the cruise parties were alcohol focused and we didn't want our son or youth around that. We took our son up to the children's den and there was nothing up their for him to do. Overall, the food, staff and accommodation was good but it would have been perfect if there were options for non-alcohol drinking adults and there adult children. We wanted to listen to the comedy but that was in the bar. We wanted to watch a family movie but there was bingo in the auditorium. Disappointed with not enough options for families. We went swimming after breakfast and guess what everyone is drinking alcohol. Went to spend time in the spa pool, well they were drinking their too. My son wants to cruise again soon, but the alcohol focus is a turn off for me. Our bathroom had built in dirt in the hand basin. Two adults in our group complained about hitting their head on the upper bunk bed. No towels for the swimming area. Including myself. Read Less

Was a bit worried after reading a few negative reviews for the Pacific Jewel. We booked a 9 night cruise to the South Pacific islands during the school holidays. From the minute we got on to the minute we got off, we had a great time. The ship is in excellent condition, nice decor and very clean. Service from the staff on board was terrific. Our cabin steward, Sanjay, was very attentive and kept our cabin ship shape! The waiters were very polite and gave great service. There is so much entertainment on board that you can choose to do or not to do. Our cabin was great. A lot of hanging space with hangers and loads of drawers. The dining areas were excellent, from the Waterfront Restaurant to The Pantry, food was excellent. We ate at Luke Mangin's Salt Grill, and had to pay for this, but was so worth it. $49 per head for an amazing 3 course meal.I would recommend it highly. Entertainment was very good and plenty of it. All I can say if someone goes on this ship and does not have a great time or experience, it would be their own fault! Read Less

Pros: Great themed parties Unlimited YUMMY Food Walk the plank was insanely fun and would highly recommend to any thrill seekers out there! The entertainment team was on point- from the amazing nightly performances to playing taboo to keeping the party alive at night the entertainment team definitely made this trip very memorable for all the right reasons! Cons: We got stuck in a CYCLONE and could only go to one island The one island we went to had most of its usual tourist activities closed Read Less

Well as all my previous reviews I try to keep things real giving my honest opinion of good and bad, the good news is there is not much bad to report here! a real pleasant surprise. First we have never considered a P&O cruise before, this is mainly due to the 41% ratings by previous reviewers, very offputting. We have mostly travelled with Princess.who regularly have 80% ratings. However never say never, we were made an offer on a suite which we could not refuse, embarkation was a breeze due to priority check in, took about 20 mins to suite. I did notice that even without priority check in the queues were moving quick, my impressions were they were very organised. Our suite was incredible, huge amounts of space inside and out, so good we eat breakfast on our balcony each day, a lovely perk. We were concerned about kids on board due to school holidays but there were only around 50 and were mostly well behaved. We found the food at the pantry very good, the watermark very good and Angelos very good. If I was to find fault it was not easy to eat healthy in the pantry, I had one choice per day, the rest pretty junky. There was much confusion regarding the Asian restaurant, on booking we were advised that Gluten free was not an issue, but upon checking at the restaurant we were informed that there were no GF option so it was back to the Watermark. My wife has a sweet tooth, but unfortunately requires Gluten Free, despite numerious little tasty afters, most days she was limited to ice cream or jelly! At night we eat at 5.30pm with no problems, however I think readers should be aware that if you are a 7.30pm diner you face long queues and can be sent away with a buzzer to await a table. You are in a different table each night so you don't really build any rapore with staff. Also as per other diners there does not seem to be enough drink staff, we were left on many occasions with a meal with no drinks. We solved this issue by buying a bottle of wine with our meal. There did not appear to have dedicated drinks staff. TIP You need to book the speciality restuarants in person as soon as you board, they do not answer the phones and get booked up quickly. The excursions were interesting, however we were unable to visit Kiriwani, although as stateroom passengers we had priority tendering this was nil and void because the ship had stopped tickets to get ashore, we sat along with 200 others in a very hot corrider which did not move for an hour so we gave up. Also very disappointing we could not get to the Conflict Islands due to swell, they did not have a plan B and sailed away shorty after arrival. Bars were very good and the service was excellent, I had a drinks package but unless you are a very serious drinker you will not get the full value of this. Cant' comment on the shows as we did not attend any but can say the entertainment in the Mix Bar was very good with acoustic and piano sessions very enjoyable. Kudos to the young passenger who played a few tunes on the piano after the show, very entertaining and must have took a lot of bottle! For people (like me) who want to stay in shape I was very impressed by the gym, it was never crowded and was larger than average. Disembarkation was again a breeze. So overall we had a great time and really cannot believe the amount of bad reviews this ship has had in the past, I definitely recommend it and as we speak we are trying to book another! best value cruise we have ever been on. Do not believe the bad reviews, you will not regret it if you go on this cruise. Read Less

I have deliberately waited a week or so after disembarkation to ensure the first impressions were correct. they were. What a fabulous cruise ship. Everything was as expected. Great friendly staff, good food, especially at Luke's Grill and good rooms. I do not know why others have been complaining, but we had a very relaxing 7 nights with great a few great bands, the Edens (a great jazz/funk band) and Love below Family (equally good with 2 singers doing soul/funk). the piano man, Robert, was also impressive, as were the covers band (Alter Ego). The pantry had a variety of food from Breakfast to Dinner with Mexican, Greek, American nights and heaps of soups, noodles, curries, heaps of fresh fruit and dainty desserts. The pools filled up a bit on the hotter days, but I swam by myself most mornings. I joined the Day Spa and had the sauna and steam room to myself on most days. OK, the Shore Tours need some tweaking, but we were not expecting too much for the price. Got drenched in Phuket. It was warm though and the resort at Patong beach was fantastic. We just got off at Sabang and talked to the locals and bought some T-Shirts. Great fun. The gym was very functional and not crowded when we went. Even watched a movie on the big screen. Loved the dome, the observation deck on the 7th and the walking deck on the 6th. This was better than The Dawn last year. Read Less

After reading so many scathing reviews of the Pacific Aria I had called P&O to see if I could change our booking to another ship a couple of months ago as I was extremely concerned that my 80 year old mother would have a terrible time after reading about lifts breaking down, water leaking, and horrible food. I'm so pleased that I left the booking as it was on the lovely Aria as my hubby, mother and I all had a wonderful time. The ship is beautiful and not as small as I'd imagined she might be. The common areas feel spacious and have a touch of elegance in the decor, especially in the bar areas. There are always places to sit in comfort without a crowd of people around you- perfect for a quiet drink before dinner, to read or just to gaze out of a window at the water without being disturbed by too much noise. So many cosy and intimate spaces, each with it's own feel and so very relaxing! Hubby purchased a bronze level "The Edge" pass and LOVED it. He got his money's worth out of it in the first 2 days and will definitely recommend it for anyone looking to do something a bit more active on board. There were only 50 passes purchased on our cruise which meant little to no waiting times and plenty of opportunity to use the facilities. This would obviously change depending on the number of passes purchased per cruise and whether or not it was school holidays. There was a good range of on board activities including craft, quoits, board games and trivia games. My personal favourite activities included the bag tag making craft and cocktail making class in the Mix bar. My only complaint about the activities is that on a couple of occasions the entertainment crew dropped the ball and didn't show up for the scheduled activity- one was morning trivia and despite the reception staff trying to contact entertainment, no one showed up. The second time was the bag tag making craft activity, however, one of the crew did manage to contact the entertainment team and they sent someone to us, albeit late. The evening entertainment was a bit of a mixed bag; night 1, "Off the Charts" was sub par, night 2 was Timothy Hyde, a magician. He was a showman with the gift of the gab but overall his performance as a magician was very mediocre, at best. However, Twice Upon a Time and La Forza were absolutely world-class shows that we were were blown away with and would be very happy to pay for the privilege of seeing either show again. Another show worth mentioning is Side Show Alley. Our experience was dampened by a couple of loud-mouthed females - at least one of which was a guest singer on board (disappointing and totally lacking class), who yelled, cat-called and cheered throughout the entire performance, despite being asked by other guests to refrain. This seriously spoilt the dramatic affect of the show- I guess no one bothered to tell them that it wasn't a concert and musical theater isn't the venue to scream at. This, of course, wasn't the fault of the cast but sadly for the entertainers who had obviously worked hard to present an amazing show, this did detract from our experience. Other entertainers worth mentioning include the extremely talented Mitch and Mike Gordon and White Chilli - we found ourselves making sure we sought them out whenever possible to listen to them perform. We had a blast at the Bianco party but sadly didn't attend either the Gatsby or Back to School parties as I just didn't have the time to organise suitable clothing before sailing. Embarkation was smooth and made easy by the friendly staff at the terminal and at each port the P&O team were friendly and helpful. The gym was fantastic- such a great space and much bigger than a lot of on board gyms in other ships. Others have complained about the service on the Aria, however, we had no issues whatsoever. All staff went out of their way to ensure everything was taken care of. Sarah (in the Mix bar), Grace (Sugar) and Riuel (Waterfront) all need special mention for always having a smile on their faces, their friendliness and warmth and care shown to all passengers. Our room stewards did a great job and were very inconspicuous. The toilet in our room blocked 3 times during the cruise but was fixed like magic very soon after we reported it so was no inconvenience to us. A couple of the lifts did break down a couple of times, however, were back in use within a short while each time. There was no inconvenience for guests as the other lifts were all working. We all must have gained at least 5 kgs each, so needless to say the food was plentiful and pretty delish. We loved the Pantry- so many choices and so beautifully clean and fresh. I was very happy to see the change and wish the buffet away from all ships. We could easily and happily do a MUCH longer cruise with the food options on board the Aria that are available. Dragon Lady and Angelo's were still available at no charge and we ate at Angelo's twice and Dragon Lady 3 times. Both have amazing decor and staff were lovely, however, Angelo's was a bit hit and miss- fabulous the first time and pretty bad the second time with fish that was so overcooked and dry it couldn't be eaten, missing ingredients (the parmigiana was supposed to be served with eggplant, but once it was served we were told the eggplant was "unavailable"), the gnocchi sounded delish but was almost flavourless. Our first meals there included the fish which was amazing (hence why it was ordered a second time), the parmigiana, again, it was lovely and came with the advertised eggplant the first time, and the risotto. Dragon Lady was spot on every time and we loved it! The meals in Waterfront were mostly great, but there were some meals that weren't as good as others- that being said, that happens at all restaurants and none of us ever went hungry. Overall, the food was fabulous with heaps of choices. Our cabin was lovely and spacious. I was concerned with my mum having to climb into the bathtub to take a shower but there are railings as hand holds and she managed quite well. It would be much easier to have the tubs removed and just leave a shower but this did not impact on our enjoyment at all. The pool areas are perfect spaces to have a cocktail, chat with new friends, read or make use of the facilities and have a cool down in the pools. The ambiance in both spaces was great. The guests on board were among the friendliest that I've ever come across on a cruise- no whingers and lots of really great people who we had the privilege of cruising with. We didn't do any shore tours so I can't comment on them. We loved our 12 night cruise so much that we booked our next cruise on the beautiful Aria before we had disembarked and I can't wait until my next adventure on her! Read Less

Like other cruise critic folk I read many reviews prior to my cruise. 95% were negative, thus I had reservations going in.... First thing I'll say to all those 'haters' is you get what you pay for! Don't expect to pay a total of around $1k for a 12 night cruise with all you're accomodation and food provided and expect 5 star everything. If you want that go to a high end resort - pay the standard $1k per NIGHT (not including food!) and you'll get you're 5 star experience. P & O clearly states they are a 3 to 3.5 star cruise. Boarding the ship was seamless in consideration of the volume of people. As we stayed in a suite - yes I paid the extra! I will agree that our 'priority' checkin didn't seem to count for much but we were there early anyway so found ourselves on board approx 1.5hrs after arriving at the Brisbane wharf. All good here. Our room was fantastic (again - what you pay for), it was clean, spacious, had plentiful storage, comfortable king bed, nice balcony, etc. paying the extra we also received many extras. Refer to their website for the long list. The less you pay the greater the likelihood of not as good of an experience. Such is life. Our room attendants were 1st class and did a fantastic job under adverse conditions. I work with people who put in less than half the hours you guys do each week and they are constantly tired, whingy, and generally depressing to be around. You were both like a breath of fresh air. Thank you! Again, I disagree with the negative food reviews on board. Starting with The pantry - the variety is more than sufficient. Does it really hurt you to have to maybe consume the same thing twice during a cruise?? The quantity - if they don't give you enough the first time go back for more. It's all you can eat! Also the quality is not as atrocious as what people make out. It's average and what you would expect for the layout. Waterfront - didn't go much as we were happy with the pantry but always had good food and friendly service. Dragon lady - didn't try it. The grill - when you're craving a pizza or burger it was always great. Salt grill - incredible experience all around. Can't fault the food, service and nice quiet ambience. No it's not expensive as some people have stated!! For a 3 course meal like that you'll be paying 3 times as much at other fine dining restaurants around Oz. There were always many spare tables too because people didn't seem to want to pay/get dressed up a bit. Also for those that said they were somehow still hungry after a marquee performance - room service is available 24/7. Pay the measley fee and eat that in the comfort of you're own room....without pants!! Public areas are all very modern and inviting. Love how there are little 'escapes' for couples. Shopping options good, entertainment a plenty. Don't understand how people can be bored or have nothing to do!! They have thought of everyone from a 1 yr old to an 80 yr old. At the end of the day I went on the cruise to see Vanuatu and Fiji - the ship came second in order of priority but you can't complain of the numerous things to do onboard...it's what you make of it. Sure beats sitting in a plane or car. All staff very friendly, welcoming and generally nice. Considering the time they spend working away from home and family averaging 12 hr days, it's truly incredible. Issues I had were sleep! I'm a fairly light sleeper so I was always sleep deprived. Kids running around on the decks till all hrs of the night was the main reason. I don't think this is P&O's fault more just bad/lazy parenting. People slamming cabin doors....again not P&O's fault just selfish people not thinking of others. Spa prices were too high! Massage and facial for my wife and I cost over $600. It's a shame because I would of loved to get more done but the costs of all treatments I just couldn't justify. A few rude tourists whinging about small things also annoyed me. Be grateful you are able to have this cruise experience where many around the world are not. Lastly, I found the ship quite rocky even on calmer days. Just a heads up if you struggle with sea sickness!!! Otherwise all good!! Fantastic experience both on and off the ship, I feel blessed to be able to have done it. Read Less

This was my first cruise but I really enjoyed it. I guess these things are what you make of them and my partner and I are very social people, so we chatted to most people and got to know as many people as possible. We also tried to do as many of the activities as we could squeeze in so aways seemed to be running from one thing to the next. The staff were wonderful Cruise Director David Pepper was great, as were the entertainment staff - Pee-Wee, Anthony, Karen and the others. The shows were brilliant!! Girt by Sea was an Australiana show which I thought would be cheesy, but it was so well done. The main singers were Charlotte Fortune and Neil James. Both wonderful and nice people to talk to socially. My favourite would be the Mentalist show by Phoenix. I saw his first show and it was so good I saw the same show repeated again. His memory is amazing and the way he can read people's minds is mind blowing. Highly recommended. He also was social with the passengers and he did some close up tricks for my partner and I and I'm still baffled how he does them! Loree from LA was a pianist/singer playing every night. Also brilliant. Food wise, Salt was lovely ($40 surcharge) but absolutely loved La Luna ($20 surcharge). The duck was amazing! The buffet one was okay. Went there mostly because it was easy. Get ready to put on weight! The night club was fun too. My only criticism was they closed down whenever the crowd dies down. I believe they should still stay open until a set time if there are still people that want to party there. Had fun in the casino, but the bar would shut before the casino did so you had to run up to the nightclub to get drinks. Very bizarre. First port was actually Airlie Beach but it's not listed here. First time I've ever been there. We just relaxed near this big public pool near the beach. Perfect day. Beautiful But overall, excellent. Read Less
