The Encounter was once again a delight. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. The cabin was nice, the food quite good, and the entertainment enjoyable. We chose this cruise as a winter escape and a mid-year break from work. Even though the ship itself was old, it had been beautifully maintained. Having not cruised for several years due to Covid, it was great to be out on the ocean once more. The ship’s capacity is 2 600 but we were informed that there were only 1 600 people on board due to Covid restrictions. PROS Staff were obliging, friendly, happy and relaxed. We ended up with back to back cruises only because of old cancelled cruises thanks to Covid. Whilst on the Covid subject. Previous cruise on 20th did not see any covid cabins as with previous cruises and same with this cruise.
