We were really looking forward to our cruise because it had been four years since our last cruise but due to a family bereavement and Covid, this was our first since then.
The staff were amazing especially the waiters and buffet crew although some passengers thought there was nothing wrong in asking a bar waiter to walk a few hundred yards to get them a coffee from the buffet. Some people ...
Been on a few P&o cruises on ships Oceana, Azura and Brittania, so me and my partner decided to try Aurora and the Canary Islands. Overall we felt a bit dissapointed with this one.
The ports were great and the excursions were great but we felt that having a full day and evening in Tenerife on the Monday instead of a full and evening day in La Palma on the Sunday would have been better, as ...
Mums 75th Birthday treat.
Having not cruised with P and O for a few years I was surprised at how standards had slipped disappointingly. The food wasn’t anywhere near as good as it’s been on previous cruises with them. The ship itself is noticeably tatty in places as well. Even the bedding wasn’t up to much, my pillow smelt, there were stains on quilts! The staff however were still great and ...
We chose a 12 day cruise with P & O on their Aurora ship this year as everyone we knew, who had cruised, said that they had always had a great time. This ship is now Adult only.
We had a smooth and speedy embarkation at Southampton and having travelled from the North-east of England this was a very welcome start to our holidays.
Our inside cabin was a moderate size but well furnished with a ...
We have sailed with P&O since the nineties and last sailed on the Aurora during 2015 which was into the Mediterranean , so we were keen to try P&O again after having had four cruises with Celebrity .
Cruise number R916 was to the Canaries and returning via La Coruna in Spain. The weather was fantastic and the seas were very calm the whole trip , we were very pleased with the ...
The Ship was good, staff miserable, didn't smile much especially in the Medina restaurant,
Food was awful, very funny combinations, Who serves Salt & Vinegar Ice cream for a sweet if was disgusting, peppercorn sponge. Please Chef go back to school and learn some basics. Normal food required.
No jacket potatoes in Horrizon Buffett only on first day on ship, after that never again..Why ...
we have sailed with P&O a few times as well as with other cruises companies. i am sad to say the quality offered by P&O feels like a company in Austerity but i will start with the good points. The cabin was clean and the staff worked hard. They were very friendly, cabin crew, waiter etc. The weather was good once we reached Greece. Some of the entertainers bought on to perform were excellent. The ...
Choose this as a replacement for a cancellation on the wonderful Adonia, which I was really excited about as it was visiting Bermuda and the Bahamas. However wasn't disappointed with Aurora's itinerary, as we visited Dubrovnik, Sibenic and Mt Etna Sicily to name a few.
The ship shows her age when compared to the facilities that are on the new Britannia, but this was to be expected. Being a ...
We chose this cruise because of the destinations on offer and to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary. It is also a short drive to the port for us. Check in was quick and efficient. We had an interior cabin which was fine for our needs apart from the location on A deck (too high especially on windy days) and too close to the bow. Our cabin steward was very good.
I was disappointed in Aurora’s ...
We chose P and O/Aurora on this occasion due to the destinations offered and the convenience of a UK to UK round-trip.
Aurora is well proportioned, smart and generally clean, but certainly shows her age. P and O is cruising aimed wholly at UK customers, with tilts toward tradition and home spun culture which span restauration, on- board media, entertainments, announcements and excursions.
We ...
