Been 6 times now and this was up there with the rest of them.
SHIP
Been on the larger ones but Aurora is my favourite. Very attractive ship with lovely wide Promenade Deck and tiered aft.
RESTAURANTS
Medina and Horizon restaurants were excellent as always. Great selection of food and always fresh and hot. Everyone smiled and welcomed guests in and out. Where we had to wait for a table ...
Choose this as a replacement for a cancellation on the wonderful Adonia, which I was really excited about as it was visiting Bermuda and the Bahamas. However wasn't disappointed with Aurora's itinerary, as we visited Dubrovnik, Sibenic and Mt Etna Sicily to name a few.
The ship shows her age when compared to the facilities that are on the new Britannia, but this was to be expected. Being a ...
Our friends had been trying to persuade us we would love cruising for many years, so this year we decided to give it a try. We chose the canary cruise as it fitted in well with school holidays. We have a 10 year old boy and also travelled with friends and their 10 year old.
The night before, we stayed at the Southampton Central travel lodge. This was clean and comfortable. Parking was limited, ...
This was our first time cruising and we are glad that we chose P & O's Aurora to celebrate our special anniversary year.
From check-in to disembarkation, the whole P&O experience was extremely smooth and efficient. We chose CPS parking to leave our car with, and felt like VIPs when we arrived as they unloaded our cases and took our car away. Having been quite independent travellers having to ...
This was our 9th cruise with P&O. Embarkation/disembarkation was very good. The cabins being ready at 1pm is a really great idea, it saves wandering around with trundler's/suit carriers etc. We haven't sailed on Aurora since 2010 & she is still a beautiful ship, very easy to navigate.
Our cabin C299 was great, very clean & we had a brilliant cabin steward, Roda who was super efficient. We opted ...
We have just returned home from a wonderful cruise on P & O Aurora. The staff were all welcoming and very efficient. We chose a delux balcony cabin, there was loads of drawer & wardrobe space. Our cabin steward was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We chose Freedom Dining which worked very well, we tended to eat at a similar time each evening nod were able to have the same table which meant ...
We were first time cruisers & enjoyed every minute we were onboard.
Our amazing experience started when we arrived at Southampton docks. The embarkation was so slick we were onboard within 1hour of arrival & eating lunch before we even left Southampton. The Aurora is a medium size boat, but the staff are very friendly. We could not fault either the facilities or restaurants and there's ...
Our 3rd P&O cruise but first on Aurora. Cabin clean, cabin service excellent. First time having a Balcony - not as small as we thought it would be - very welcome on hot days! Breakfast in Medina was lovely & extensive choices & sitting well organised by friendly staff. Dinner in Alexandra restaurant was excellent & so were the lovely waiters. Plenty of choice in the Horizon restaurant at ...
What do a 50+ year old male ex-teacher, a 40+ year old female with significant mobility problems and a 19 year old geology student with a love for musical theatre have in common? Two things: 1) we are one family 2) Aurora did a marvellous job in meeting both our individual needs and those as a family. This was a magnificent 17 nights cruise in a most elegant ship.
It was so filled with ...
