"Norway is astonishingly beautiful, and this P&O cruise took its time going up into the fjords, which was really lovely-- 12 days makes a big difference over 7 day cruises. There were wild rumors aboard ship as to why-- there have been protests in Stavanger and other Norwegian cities against cruise ships (for environmental reasons), and passengers speculated P&O skipped the port to try and reduce P&O's footprint there...."Read More

1-10 of 29 P&O Aurora Cruise Reviews for for the Disabled to Norwegian Fjords
I chose this cruise as I liked the itinerary. I was dubious about going on the Aurora, but the fact that it was Adult Only helped seal the deal and the price was right.
Why was I dubious about the Aurora? This was my 3rd trip on her, my first being in 2019 just before the pandemic. My experience then was great. Good ship, lovely crew, good service and great food choices. Having experienced ...
Cruise was wonderful, a relatively small ship so went right into port all days apart from one. We stopped at 7;different ports which was fantastic.
We liked the ship, staff were great, entertainment very good, food very good too.
Our only negative comments would be that there were no water points where you could fill up water bottles. You could order small bottles to your room but it was ...
We are seasoned travelers, but not cruisers. So consider this review with that in mind.
We found the August 2022 Norway cruise on P&O's Arcadia to be wonderful, especially given the still-difficult conditions cruise ships are facing. The Aurora is an easy ship to love-- big enough to have lots of activities and programming, but small enough that nothing was crowded or kept you waiting in line. ...
We chose this cruise for the Itinerary. We have done 38 cruises with many different cruise lines but this was our first with P&O. From reading boards before hand I was lead to believe this was a slightly up market cruise, better than celebrity and Princess but more traditional like Cunard. Having been on many of these lines I thought I knew what to expect.
Embarkation was good very smooth ...
Love Norway good memories of deceased partner. The food left a lot to be desired often only warm, uninspired boring. Had one meai in beach club excellent as was the service, 2 meals in self service very nice. Was put on a singles table disaster I was a man paired with 5 women ranging between 65ish to mid nineties could not gat a dcent conversation disaster. I am a very outgoing person and have ...
We chose this cruise because it included all the most beautiful fjords and port stops that I had seen recommended on various websites. Stops included Eidfjord, Flåm, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Andalsnes and Olden. Twelve nights obviously gives you a broader experience than just seven. Not for you if you want to go further north in Norway or combine fjords with other countries. I had very high ...
We wanted to see the Northern Lights but unfortunately the weather conditions in both Narvik and Alta (the most likely opportunities to see them we were told) did not oblige. Also our Fjord trip to see Pulpit Rock in Stavanger was also spoilt by low cloud and rain. You might think our holiday was ruined but in spite of the above disappointments we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The views of snow ...
We had a wonderful Northern Lights Cruise. Our first cruise, we were new to every aspect and expected some hiccups... There were none.
Embarkation was incredibly swift, staff at port really helpful too.
We were on the ship and in the restaurant having lunch before our check-in time.
The ship is lovely and I'm sure will be even more so after its 'spruce up' later this month. Lovely areas ...
I took my 2 teenage grandchildren to see the northern lights.
Couldn't have asked for a better holiday for them. They seen the lights and more.
The ship and every member of staff was friendly polite and efficient. I have been on 2 p&o ships now going on 3rd in March. Could not fault them.
We met a couple of friends whom we now keep in touch with.
The entertainment was excellent and ...
I was one of 6 in a group that had a limited window of time when we could all go away. We have heard good things about cruising to Norway and so we decided on Aurora. This was the first P&O cruise that I had done so I was keen to see what it was like. As my title suggests we were generally very impressed with everything apart from a lot of mechanical noise when we were coming in to port for about ...
