Very good cruise 19 days
"Visiting artists were good and offered a variety of shows to choose from, many of them receiving standing ovations at the end of their performance This was our second time on Aurora, and we could definitely recommend the ship. .We had a deluxe balcony cabin, which was spacious and had good space for clothes, including a large chest of drawers, which was better than open shelves...."Read More

It was when Lorena, Sous Chef in the Horizon self-service restaurant, asked me on the first morning what sort of bread I preferred for my breakfast toast that I had an inkling that Aurora was going to deliver something special. The 65-night Grand Tour to the USA and Caribbean certainly did that, starting each day with seeded bread for my toast, baked by Lorena and cheerfully delivered to my table ...

We like the smaller ships and particularly Aurora. We had wonderful calm seas for 16 days and then a Force 10 storm with high seas and missed Gibraltar as it was closed. We had already had Rhodes cancelled 6 months before the cruise and replaced with Messina, where we have been many times. The food in the main dining room seemed to be always roast this and roast that, along with 3 veggie ...

We chose this cruise because the ports were interesting. Categena,Catania,Cagliari,Trieste,Dubrovnik,Gibraltar. This was better than the usual ports offered in the Med. Ship was excellent,a smaller ship, easy to find your way around, and plenty of nice places to relax on board. Sun decks have plenty of places to sit without it being crowded with sun bathers. We chose freedom dining, and the ...

We chose a 12 day cruise with P & O on their Aurora ship this year as everyone we knew, who had cruised, said that they had always had a great time. This ship is now Adult only. We had a smooth and speedy embarkation at Southampton and having travelled from the North-east of England this was a very welcome start to our holidays. Our inside cabin was a moderate size but well furnished with a ...

We have sailed with P&O since the nineties and last sailed on the Aurora during 2015 which was into the Mediterranean , so we were keen to try P&O again after having had four cruises with Celebrity . Cruise number R916 was to the Canaries and returning via La Coruna in Spain. The weather was fantastic and the seas were very calm the whole trip , we were very pleased with the ...

We chose this cruise due to the interesting itinerary, as it was visiting a number of ports that were new to us. We had been on Aurora just 4 weeks before (see other review) so were interested to see the improvements. The ship did look refreshed but as regular cruisers on Aurora (7 times in 2 years) we had been really looking forward to the new large screen TV's so were deeply disappointed to find ...

Had been on the ship previously about 8 years ago - it had been updated since then but still looking sad and tired in some of the outside areas. On a positive note, the food has to be some of the best I have ever had on a cruise. The Horizon restaurant deserves special mention - the choice and quality was incredible, and the staff some of the most helpful I have ever experienced. Medina ...

The staff on board Aurora were wonderful, especially the dining staff who were polite and professional. I was particularly impressed with the Horizon buffet staff who helped the disabled/elderly choose their meals and carrying their trays to their tables etc. The entertainment team were good, especially Karl who had tons of energy and really put effort into making you enjoy your holiday. ...

25 days Southampton to Caribbean and back Embarkation worked well came from home on Eavesway Travel on the ship inside 1/2 hour of arriving. Aurora is one of the older style ships and suits us looking a little worn here and there but nothing major and doesn't detract from her. Cabin C190 balcony plenty big enough for the 2 of us clean and bright, plenty of closet/drawer space. Be aware ...

Leaving and returning to Southampton with some new Islands in the itinerary were the main reason we chose Aurora R803. We know P&O well but not this ship, we were pleasantly surprised. Everything is close to hand with a good choice of bars and restaurants. The crew were friendly and efficient and the food in all restaurants excellent be it Buffet , MDR or the three speciality ( extra cover charges ...
