Choose this as a replacement for a cancellation on the wonderful Adonia, which I was really excited about as it was visiting Bermuda and the Bahamas. However wasn't disappointed with Aurora's itinerary, as we visited Dubrovnik, Sibenic and Mt Etna Sicily to name a few. The ship shows her age when compared to the facilities that are on the new Britannia, but this was to be expected. Being a ...

We chose P and O/Aurora on this occasion due to the destinations offered and the convenience of a UK to UK round-trip. Aurora is well proportioned, smart and generally clean, but certainly shows her age. P and O is cruising aimed wholly at UK customers, with tilts toward tradition and home spun culture which span restauration, on- board media, entertainments, announcements and excursions. We ...

We chose this cruise because of the destinations on offer and to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary. It is also a short drive to the port for us. Check in was quick and efficient. We had an interior cabin which was fine for our needs apart from the location on A deck (too high especially on windy days) and too close to the bow. Our cabin steward was very good. I was disappointed in Aurora’s ...

First the journey to southampton was terrible, why they choose this port is beyond me the best way to describe the port is just ugly. The ship was no better a family room cabin was ideal as a single room, the entertainment third rate acts was awful five days at sea only half day at gibraltar embarkation, tv reception was very poor picture was terrible, sunbeds was another sore point ,not enough ...

Just got back from 18 day cruise on Aurora from Southampton to Venice and back, and here are my thoughts in comparing Aurora to Equinox. Ambience. So we have been two times on Celebrity Equinox, a bigger and newer ship to P & O Aurora. It is much smarter and has none of the Edwardian pretensions of Aurora, but for all that, Aurora seems to have more intimate and comfortable public spaces, ...

What do a 50+ year old male ex-teacher, a 40+ year old female with significant mobility problems and a 19 year old geology student with a love for musical theatre have in common? Two things: 1) we are one family 2) Aurora did a marvellous job in meeting both our individual needs and those as a family. This was a magnificent 17 nights cruise in a most elegant ship. It was so filled with ...

Well here goes, just got back from cruise on Aurora, first one on P and O, ports of call Gib, Dubrovnik, Split, Venice Messina and Cadiz, Aurora is a smaller ship that we have been on but to be fair she is really stable and comfortable, we were on B deck in a mini suite B239 , lovely cabin, However the balcony area was beginning to show its age a little, I know that at sea you are going to get ...

Embarkation was excellent, slick and quick. On arrival the cabins were ready and looked in reasonable condition. However, after 2 days the air conditioning broke down and became stuck on cold. The engineer came out to fix it, he spent over 2 hours in our cabin so we missed being able to get ready for dinner. He then said he had fixed it. Well, he had stopped it from blowing cold air - it would not ...

Embarkation was started very soon after we had checked in, and had the car safely driven to the port car park. We enjoyed lunch out on deck, as the weather was already sunny and warm. Our cabin, inside double, with a shower was ready at 1.30pm., and we unpacked soon after that, knowing we were organised with all our belongings, until we had to pack to go home. We had been on this ship twice ...
