We are on this cruise now via a Tauck trip. Our room is spilled with sewer gas. We finally figured out that if we run the shower constantly over 24 hours, at a low rate, it keeps the trap from allowing sewer gas into the room. The concentration of sewer gas was really bad, only 2ppm can cause bronchial construction in people with asthma, 10-50ppm you get headaches. Higher concentrations you get ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to do a full transit of the Panama canal on a small ship and do a one week cruise.
The service was excellent, the cabin was comfortable and well designed. We got to use the water sports platform one day in Quepos and it was fun. The food was very good, especially at dinner. I wish they would serve more sandwich meat and cold salad (Deli-style) options at ...
We chose this cruise so we could visit Panama City, Panama. We enjoyed a delightful pre-trip visit and excursion into the old ruins of Panama City as well as a bus trip into the heart of the city. We very much enjoyed the trip through the canal and a resident historian’s commentary as we cruised through the locks and huge inland lake. Our cruise up the east coast of Central American was very ...
Love the Viking Cruises as they meet our desire to use the cruise to see exciting places and get away from the RAT RACE or normal living. We love NOT having a casino on board as well as No Disco. There are plenty of spaces on the ship to tan without bombardment of noise or EDM as well as wonderful facilities inside to relax, have a conversation, read a book, listen to music or simply enjoy a ...
Going through the Pamama Canal was always on our bucket list. We looked for a smaller ship that did not look like carnival on the water. In viking we found what we wanted and were so impressed we have booked two more execurions. That staff and service was uimbeccible as was the ship itstelf.
We used the restaurent most nights and was pleased with the meno and the impecible service.

We have taken a Viking river cruise and was very impressed with the activities, staff and food. We chose this cruise because I have wanted to take a Panama cruise for several years. I prefer a smaller cruise ship with people close to my age range and interests and no children under 18. We had such an incredible time meeting new people, trying new foods and attending the shows and lectures. ...
We chose Viking based on the size of the ship and the destinations it offered. We especially were drawn to the fact that there were no children allowed and there was no casino on board.(we do no partake in the gambling on a cruise). The state rooms had nice space and storage was well thought out. The heated floor in the bathroom was an especially nice treat. The shower was large compared to other ...
I will start with the positive… the staff was very nice and helpful, and our Veranda Stateroom was comfortable.
The first stop on our cruise took us in the opposite direction of our destination (the Panama Canal), to their private island. This was a total waste of time, but no doubt a way for them to squeeze all the money the could out of a captive audience. The island itself was very fake and ...
We took this particular cruise because we wanted to see the Panama Canal. Overall, the cruise was exceptional. Manfredi's was our favorite restaurant. The staff was extraordinary as was the food. The cruise director kept everyone engaged with all that was available to do and see. Viking's staff all were very friendly and helpful.
Our cabin attendant Rangga anticipated any and all wants and ...
Viking does everything to make sure that each guest enjoys the perfect cruise. The embarkment was so smooth and easy and it started the trip off with excitement and a fabulous attitude from all. The food was amazing in every restaurant, and the staff was excellent. They were attentive, hardworking, focused, and pleasant to all. The ship was immaculate. Any mechanical problems in state rooms were ...
