Small Ship Big Charm

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Gem

We had the best time on our Panama Cruise on the NCL Gem. The staff are reallly the gems of this ship! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. You really had the feeling they all just wanted you to be happy and have a good time! The ship itself feels cozy and warm. It's beautiful and has so much entertainment. We had wonderful musical acts, magicians, comedians. Entertainment on this ship is so ...

Worse cruise ever

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Gem

This was a celebratory cruise for my 60th. A once in a lifetime to be totally ruined. Main restaurants had same menu in both for all 11 nights. Waiting time was over 30 minutes. The food was raw and had to be sent back. By now husband had finished his meal. Finally arrived and there was more fat on the meat than meat. The total disorganisation of getting people off the ship in ...

this was our 6th cruise and we always wanted to go to Panama. Everything was fantastic from start to finish, the crew, staff, food excurtions, weather we had cruised on Royal Caribean Harmony of the seas in 2018 and we felt it was too big for us, Norwegian Gem was a better size , we got to know a lot of people , we want to go back tomorrow. First time my wife and I had a cruise alone ...

It was an OK cruise, I would cruise again

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

Overall it was a pleasant cruise. I would go on Constellation again. It is not a huge ship, which for us is a plus. We are happy to give up some of the things that a huge ship has, like more extra cost dining locations and extra bars for a cozier environment. The biggest problem was that the cabin steward locked my wife on the veranda while he was cleaning the cabin. Luckily, she had a ...

Great 28 days on the Constellation

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We were 28 days on the Connie 3 cruise back to back starting January 24th. We felt that the ship condition was very good. You had to look for problems. It is ready for a refurbishment, but some imperfections didn't affect our enjoyment of the cruise. We like the smaller ships, so the Connie was a good choice for us. The cabin was clean and very serviceable. Overall, the entire ship was clean. ...

old but nice

It was a good cruise except ror the noise every morning at 5:30. The boat is old and in need of some serios restoration. It was our first time on Celebrity although we've been on 22 other cruises; mostly Carnival, but we're getting a little older now and seemed like a good boat to go on based on reviews. The food was very good in buffet and main dining room. The entertainment was very good. The ...

Needs improvement

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

This was our first cruise with Celebrity, having cruised in the past with RC, NCL, and Princess. Our booking was messed up through the travel agent and we wound up booked in an Aqua Class cabin. The cabin itself was tired, worn, and needed maintenance. The mattresses had permanent dips and I flipped those over so we didn't have to sleep in as deep of a hole. Curtains were hanging off the rod, ...

Ivy at the spa

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

The spa was the best part of this historic boat. Go to the spa and ask for Ivy to give you a massage. Very Good service in the spa. I would recommend buying a spa package as soon as you get on board. The staff were very friendly aas well all over the boat. And the rooms were clean. The entertainment was not good. The singers were out of tune. They did have a good tango entertainment night. ...

Great ship and staff but too many sea days

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

Wanted full passage Panama canal cruise and Emerald Princess delivered. I found this to be a mostly wonderfully cruise with fabulous entertainment  and games galore. While it was his last assignment on Emerald, Fernando the cruise director was everywhere helping to entertaining guests with games and contests. The shows were great,, especially the premiere of ROCK OPERA. Balcony cabin on Baja 11 ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

We had a good time and got to see and go places that we haven't been to yet. Going through the Panama Canal was the highlight of the trip, but we enjoyed all of the ports. The ship was nice and the more mature crowd was what we were looking for. The food was good and the selections from the menu were nice. The various specialty restaurants were all nice, as well. Generally, the service was ...
